Its already offline, there is no exploring to it. A guy created a hack that shuts off the online components. I refuse to believe EA is having to explore the option.
By support Im sure he means they will keep making them. I doubt it will get support for its last 3 or 4 years much like the 360 didn't get any aside from what 1 or 2 games?
Sony has always prided themselves on fully supporting their systems for 10 years or more, hell ps2 had 2 games come out this and the psp still has games coming out. Its been something sony fans have praised, this to me sounds like Microsoft trying to say they do also in order to also sound committed.
Id rather have a nice oled tv to play my consoles on than 4k resolution on my pc for gaming.
Yeah hi res is nice and all but nice graphics are nice but they don't make a bad game good, or a good game better.
4k wont be standard for a very long time and when it becomes mainstream it wont be because of pc gaming. It will be because of home consoles making it mainstream because consoles is what the industry follows the most. If it isn't home consoles it will be the movie industry, but even that isn't a given considering the movie industry backed 3d and it never took off. So when 4k gaming becomes widespread it will be when there are new consoles that support it.
Free would be if every xbl user silver or gold got it. But only gold members do, meaning unless you pay for xbl you don't get the game thus you don't actually get it for free.
Besides, halo 3? Jesus, 95% of people who want to play halo 3 already did years ago.
To me it sounds like Microsoft is simply trying to get all the friends they can after they burned so many bridges since announcing the xbox one. I refuse to believe they honestly all of the sudden really care about the Japanese market when they spent the past decade snubbing them completely and only recently have they expressed any interest.
