Boring game remastered, definitely no. One of the biggest disappointments I've ever played. Bought the XBOX360 specificially to play this game way back in 2010 and in the gameplay department it was terrible. One of those games that thinks it's a movie. Movies are movies, games are games, I don't want to play a movie.

This game is the most boring game I've played since the hugely other overrated Alan Wake. The producer clearly can't let go of his (well deserved) Resident Evil success but I suggest he quits making games. Where to start. If you intend to make a whole new game, you really should leave what you did before, I mean, the over-the-shoulder-looking zombie like enemy introduction was from Resident Evil, let it go! The design is awful, the ugliest game I've played since a long time. The enemies appear in the most annoying ways. The save system is dreadful. The interface for weapons, items and such is annnoying. To me this game was a true scam. I'm disgusted I was lured to this cr*p at a price the game isn't even worth half of it.

Forgot which one it was but one of the colossi dying in Shadow of the Colossus, was the first gaming moment that moved me.

I'm usually not interested in game stories so I probably must have missed the point behind this colossi killing but I felt remorse killing them bar the annoying ones to kill of course (place your mean grin here).

Also the bond between the two Ico characters was touching also literally of course as you had to lead the other character by the hand.

Doesn't look good. The Redspotgames site is off line since a few days already...

Edit: and now (8 september) it's back on line.

Though the waiting for the release is annoying, Redspotgames do seem sincerely engaged to have it released regardless of their troubles after one of their partners made the december 2011 release impossible.

Redspotgames have issued a FAQ some weeks ago in which they explain what problems they faced since then and what they are doing about it.

You'll find the FAQ here: http://www.redspotgames.com/sturmwind-faq/

I already ordered/paid for the game november last year and my Dreamcast console is waiting very patiently though it starts to get a very hungry look these days...

@projectpat72988. I sincerely hope at one time you'll reach adulthood and learn not to undermine your own opinion by childlishly starting to call people trolls. Gamespot is way too good a site for having to display 'discussions' on your level. In short, grow up and learn to live with it that people will have different opinions than yours.

@projectpat72988. Not only did I play the game through but also The writer and The signal DLC's with a desperate expectation that maybe I would finally find something really good about the game (except for the graphics). The only part in the actual game that finally got everything right was the car scrap yard already close to the end of the game. If this game never was about the combat as you say, they should have either cut it out or scrapped a lot of it instead of boring the gamer with it endlessly. The final product was nowhere near what the makers had wet the public for: (close to) real time day into night sequences ->scrapped; Twin Peaks atmosphere -> laughable, putting in references to David Lynch territory doesn't make it a Lynchian experience certainly not by making you collect thermoses (extremely laughable); interaction with the surroundings was nearly completely absent. Again, games should be for playing, movies for watching and that's where the makers went wrong in my opinion. They should have contacted a good director and ended up with a golden movie instead of a very mediocre game.

Alan Wake was almost 100% boredom hell to me. A game with too much talk before it was released and a major disappointment at release. Tons and tons of the same boring battles with dead boring enemies. The only plus part were the graphics but then I prefer a movie instead. Biggest disappointment of 2010. On a positive note, I bought the XBOX360 specifically to play this exclusive game and I have grown to prefer this console way above the PS3.

@jamyskis I'm sorry but the sun always shines and yes there are always real life problems more important to moan about but for Sony, the play time is over now after 6 weeks and the loyal players (almost all Sony players) are entitled to get the service back they're entitled too. Gaming is about time to relief and getting confronted with lost time due to endless time outs or when you have the 'luck' to log on menu's not being completed and getting stuck again on PSN is not what play time should be. So Sony, get your service back on track or for me it will be over and out.

@tequilasunriser I'll keep waiting for any comment from you with the slightest hint of content or maturity. Not going to let my sleep for it though. Enjoy your apparent fanbase meanwhile as it seems you're in the green as of this moment!
