Firstly ban and boycott are very different words, dont blame me for getting the wrong idea, if you mix them up it's your problem. Secondly "You call yourself a mature gamer" i never actually said that anywhere... neither did i express any interest in the game in my response to your comment, you have put words into my mouth and almost entirely missed my points.
I never called you shallow, nor ignorant, although your accusation that this game will encourage violence is far from the truth and indeed shows a lack of understanding not only of the affects of video games but also of mental illness.
"If you or someone else is so eager to buy this game because he always had an itch to shoot women and children in the throat with a shotgun, sure go ahead, you disgust me" The desire to play this game and "kill" fake people does not mean that person wants to act these things out in real life, nor does it make them more likely to do so, there are many reasons a person may want to play it.
"Its absurd how many people simply buy this game" Nobody has bought it yet....
"without facing the obvious truth... this game looks boring" Opinion.
"and violent for the sake of causing a stir publicly" Yes, that was obviously the intent, and it has worked out very well for them; that publicity has come from people getting up in arms over the trailer, you yourself are a part of the reason that everyone is talking about this game, and the controversy you and others have caused will likely lead to this game selling far more than it would otherwise, well done.
Yes i shall defend this game; we must all defend our right of expression, whether it is being used in a way we like or dislike is irrelevant.
A) No...only if you blindly believe what the media & politicians tell you.
B) This was an initial concern of mine, but we should not be afraid of that, it is ignorance that gives us a bad name, nothing else.
C) This is your opinion, not everyone will feel the same and there is no reason that those who wish to play this game should not be able to because you or anybody else disapproves of it.
No matter how much you dislike this, banning it is not the answer; If you start going down this route sooner or later the things you like will also be banned. If you dont like it, dont buy it, it's that simple.
<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> They're certainly pushing the boundaries, but i dont necessarily see that as a bad thing. I just think people are getting outraged too quickly, especially considering we have only seen one trailer, to claim the game is glorying these actions based off that alone is silly imo. Of course my own opinions are just speculation at this point but i feel there could be more to this game.
And if not; well, i still maintain that it's just a game and the worst thing it will do is make you feel uncomfortable, no harm done.

You can play on both sides in multiplayer, and in cod: world at war you can play as nazis and could indeed blow peoples limbs off. Also what about games like gta or saints row where you are the bad guy killing cops and are free to massacre civilians as you wish?
I just feel if you're going to condemn one game for glorifying killing then you should condemn them all, mass shootings are no joke, but neither is war or gang violence.
Most people seem put off by this game because it shows people begging, but i see that as a good thing; rather than hiding how disturbing murder is they are showing it and making you think about your actions, most games dress murder up in a fun way in which you never question what you're doing. You think it's all okay because you're in a uniform or because the game is comical and therefore you feel safe that your actions are justified. Killing is killing, no matter how you spin it, it's horrific, the only thing different about this game is that it is honest about that.
Games do not make killers! games do not make you commit crimes! games are not the work of evil! they are just games, this is no worse than gta or cod or countless others, the only difference is that you're not usually forced to think about what you're doing.
Whether these devs are trying to spark these discussions or are just trying to be controversial to draw attention to the game i congratulate them, it was a bold move and by the looks of things it's worked.
<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> What about war games, why are they okay to glorify war when there have been so many real ones? why are they not distasteful too? war is a horrific thing after all, but people have no problem playing cod or battlefield...
At least this is honest in how horrible and disturbing it is rather than dressing it up as sport as those games do, not that im against those games, just making a point.
