The price sucks , but I don't see why a Sony fan would be so angry deep down when you consider the best altenative is a $400 console + at least a couple of more hundred to play games online with the 360. It will cost you the same for the 360 (or more) , but you get less.

You get what you pay for, and $50.00 a year is nothing compared to the enjoyment I get daily from XBL. Regardless of what the fanboys try to claim, XBL is still king of online console gaming right now. That could change in future, but I doubt it.
Between the price and the lack of rumble, I see no reason to own one right now. Once they lower the price and bring out the rumble controller they should have had from day one, then it might be time to consider one. Not until then.
Exactly! No point buying one right now. The thing is seeing the same game droughts that plagued the GameCube. Even two years after launch, the GC was still a dust collector most of the time. I learned my lesson then, and am applying it now. ;)
Casuals are the ones who buy all the CRAP titles and encourage SHOVELWARE. As a group, they are very unsophisticated when it comes to video games. The industry gives them far too much consideration when deciding what to release and how much effort to expend on development.
I own a Wii and a 360 and my Mom said she would buy me a PS3 if I helped my Dad paint our 4 and a half thousand square feet house, the only games I really want for it are Motorstorm, F1 Championship, and the Ratchet and Clank game this fall, maybe Fight Night 3( but already played it on 360) and Kingdom Hearts 3 if only Ps3.snowman1771
Don't forget...The PS3 has no rumble in the controller. Turn the rumble off on your Wii and 360 for a week and see how fun it is. ;) That is what playing PS3 games are like. Dead and disconnected. You decide.

:lol: They are definitely laughing all the way to the bank! All they needed to do was come up with a cool piece of hardware and a couple of modified GameCube games and they had a hit! Too bad all the people that bought the thing are now twiddling their thumbs waiting for the next real game to arrive. If you like a bunch of PS2t based shovelware then I guess the Wii is the best choice right now. ;) Good Arguement. Nintendo is making money...good one. If I remember correctly out of this gen consoles Wii was the last to have a AAA. So, shouldnt 360 and ps3 owners be waiting for the next great game? Isnt Super Paper Mario the next big game to come out on any system that has a chance at AAA and thats on the Wii right? After PaperMario, what comes next and when? ;)

A drought is a substantial period of time in which nothing of note is released for a given system. Nintendo is the KING of the game drought. They have been since the N64. Looks like they will continue to hold the crown this time around with the Wii. How anyone could get by with only a Nintendo system has always amazed me. its not hard. Yeah I know. You just do something else for six months right? :lol: I own a GameCube, so I know first hand what owning a Nintendo console is like. Fortunately, I own other systems too. :)
