@santinegrete: It was mostly the graphics, but at the same time it had terrible pop-in and textures. Everything just looked last gen and at times 360 like. Gameplay did look promising though.
@gamer_4_life: I think the difference is, those companies were mostly second party before they were purchased by Sony. So Sony was already working closely with them and then based off their performance Sony decided to incorporate them into their stable.
Sony only acquires studios that fit their portfolio because they've seen their work and work well with them. So far it seems MS is just buying studios for the sake of getting more games and not for what they can do. OR the issue may be MS is asking them to make games they may not want to be making OR they're not as talented.
Look at Rare, a AAA type studio now makes Games as a service games. Not that it's a bad thing Sea of Thieves has become a good game since launch, but it's clear the direction MS is going to go now that they're pushing Games Pass.
@silv3rst0rm: This is the funniest comment I've read all week. You think they're purposely withholding consoles? It's new technology which takes time to adjust to producing. AMD, Sony, and MS all need similar parts and on top of that they're not just servicing North America. They're launching globally across multiple territories and also have to hit certain holiday seasons.
It's strategic along with limiting factors. If they could push out millions of more consoles they would, no company would just withhold without reason.
@returnofthebrotha: I meant DLSS to 4K looks better than 4K native not 1080p. Seems dumb to whine about resolution when you can't tell the difference, but are upset because you know it's using software tricks. But to each their own.
