Those are very rare, once in a blue moon, deal and very YMMV. The majority of the time when I find such good deals, they're usually price mistakes. 99% of people won't be getting it for that price.
You also have to consider the fact that that 1TB on the X is a 5400 RPM HDD (IIRC) which severely cuts the price. Also you don't have to buy a 400 GB microSD, you can buy cheaper and more common (and more times on sale) cards such as 32, 64, 128, etc. GB and simply switch the cards as if switching cartridges. This could mean that to get the same 512 GB of memory, you might be paying something like $130-200+ extra depending on how you want to spend per GB of storage. You aren't wrong in that the Switch is an expensive console especially with all the extras you need to buy for it, which is arguably more than other consoles. The switch could easily set you back further than the other consoles but the portability makes them fundamentally different.
Hate people for supporting anti-consumer practices that are ruining the industry? Idk, maybe, at the very least I hate that consumers are allowing it to happen.
Is this really at all surprising? It's a niche game at best. The few niche games that can actually thrive are games like Persona, Fire Emblem, etc; it's actually funny that people are comparing this series to well established series. The first Xenoblade did decent, in comparison during its time (although the 3DS reboot did much worse), but X did not fare nearly as well. I'm guessing this game may break Top 10 given time; it got released 4 days ago.
Don't bother wasting your money and time. It's a decent game with nice graphics but it suffers from the typical problems that befall KR games, if not a worst case of it. You're essentially paying for a F2P experience; and on the worse spectrum of things at that.
