I agree with most of his points, except for #4. Accessibility is good, but providing a challenge is also important for games (unless you're just trying to make an interactive movie). I'm not sure why everyone here is bashing this guy so passionately. I think most of us would agree that Metal Gear Solid 2 was a more interesting and exciting game than Black Ops 2, and it had plenty of "real-world themes." Just because a game addresses real-world issues doesn't mean that it can't be escapist entertainment as well. I do think that there's a place for silly, purely unrealistic games, but there's also a place for "serious" games.
