I'm currently running an overclocked 780ti and just ordered a 980ti but I've just been told a 650w PSU isn't enough.

Most reviews recommend 500w and as far as I'm aware the seasonic G650 is a good psu.

Will I be ok?

hmm, the fact that its still up for debate whether or not these next gen graphical power houses can topple Crysis 3 and Metro LL just goes to show how underpowered these consoles are.

I mean these games look amazing, so do the older PC games I mentioned. however, last gen the 1st batch of games were, even by pc standards, stunning. I just don't feel that this gen.

@supercowelitist: erm I'm just gonna have a wild guess here but maybe PC gamers will buy it? Especially those who want to play it and have no xbox

@DarthaPerkinjan: try and google Battlefield 3 benchmark. The MID range 7870 is running B3 at over 1080p hight settings at close to 60fps. I think I saw one at an average of 55. That's 5 FPS less than a PS4 yet a higher resolution. So, PS4 is a MID range PC.

Hmmm, that $50 would get you quite a few games during the steam sales. Plus Steam offers free weekends has a large F2P library. This just seems like another ignorant thread

@pinkforhire: what is bad is that in this day and age people still have this attitude about indie games. I have a games library if over 600 games this gen and if I was to name my top 20 several would be indie games.

A publisher and budget does not make a quality game.

This is what drives me insane when we have these graphics comparisons. Console gamers us still shots or just go by what they see on screen without taking performance into account. That is total BS.

My current PC is not as powerful as a PS4 yet I could get BF4 to look better than the PS4, sure it'd run at 10-20FPS but I could just claim this is playable.

If it's not 1080p minimum and 60FPS average the game should not be considered as graphics king. That's my opinion of course. SW needs a standard to work from. PC gamers generally aim for 60fps and adjust setting accordingly.

@getyeryayasout: GTAV looks and runs like total shit. I got the 360 version, it's horrible. Ruined the game for me.

Are you guys new to gaming? This has happened in the last 2 generations where sports games are concerned. The vast majority of gaming PC's out there cannot match next gen consoles. Sure current high end PC's absolutely destroy them but these make up a small percentage. EA are just going with the easiest option. Keep the pc versions in a par with the 360/PS3 versions, it will maximize sales. Makes perfect sense.

Let's face it, sports titles don't sell in huge numbers on a PC, keeping the specs low they will sell many more copies than if you needed a minimum of say a 7870 and a quad/hex etc CPU. In a couple if years when these kind if specs become the norm and even low spec they will make to pc versions run on the same engine.

Why console gamers use sports games as away to bash PC gaming always amuses me. Nobody buys a pc to play sports games, no matter how they look.
