Y'all internet aspergers fellows have got it all cocked up.

I mean, if Michael Jackson came back from the dead and announced a new album, the internet would break. It doesn't make him relevant compared to say, The Weeknd.

Half-Life is Michael Jackson - a past giant, but irrelevant.

Halo is like The Weeknd - it still has an ongoing fanbase, even if it won't signal the apocalypse.

Another Metroid 2 Remake.

Haven't had a 2D Metroid fix in awhile. And if I don't get a 3DS (i.e if Samus Returns doesn't turn out to be that good), I can say I've finally played Metroid 2 lol.

On a related note, that indie game To The Moon is completely fucking pathetic.

Anyone that thought it was deep and meaningful? Congratulations, you enjoyed autism as a plot twist, you muppet.

Eh, in rare fashion I finished the main quest in vanilla with heaps of side quests done. It was enjoyable for a casual affair.

But Skyrim with mods is bonkers good. Straight up geek RPG heaven. Can't remember all the gameplay mods I installed but it was freakin enjoyable. For example, that first cave you explore around Riverwood (the tutorial town after the opening sequence) is like generic lame-o sidequest dungeon in vanilla with some bandits. Put some hardcore gameplay mods on and it becomes your fucking event for the evening.

I also remember the mod (or some mods) which make all the dragon fights epic. They were annoying cliff racers in vanilla, but with certain mods it was like you met a legendary Pokemon for the first time.

Out of curiousity did you play with Requiem too? I love that mod, made the game so much more immersive.

Yes that's the name of it!

The gaming community has been conditioned to simply buy games during heavy discount sales. We all know by now that you just need to wait a few months before that newly released video game you want to buy is down 25-50% off. Everyone's operating on razor thin margins, no matter whether you make an indie game or AAA game.

It's a vicious circle that will be very hard to get out of. In fact, I think many of the video game publishers now factor sales into their business model.

The only exception to the rule is Nintendo, where their games hold their value because they've never succumbed to the discount culture.

Humans still came from ape-like creatures.

What ? No first human ? of course there was. This guy .. , lol

If you believe in Darwinian evolution then there technically shouldn't be a 'first human'. It's like trying to point out when a stone becomes a pebble. At most it would be a metaphysical statement to claim one creature in a point in time was the 'first human.'

But I'm done with anti-philosophical materialism, and thus, I'm persuaded to believe there was no evolution in the first place.

I was there and I can attest to the fact that 2004 was absolutely the bee knees. Halo 2, Half Life 2, Doom 3, Far Cry, Metroid Prime 2, GTA San Andreas, everyone was high in brawling each other.
