3. Is it possible to play after finishing the game? For example, in order to just advancing in the rankings, etc.

The storyline ends at level 21 (Chapter 10) for both cops and racers. If you want, you can redo the rest of the available speedlists and rank up to level 61.

There's a bit of a flaw with that system really. Reason being it's WAY easier to complete speedlist assignments than say to get gold on events. There's really not that many speedlist objectives that require getting gold on Hard rated events. Most are just a breeze to get through. Even some of the Easy rated events are not all that easy to get gold on, and certainly harder than most of the speedlist assignments, esp when you consider you can pick from any event to complete them.

This is a game where you really can't judge a player's skill by his rank.

Yeah I've had to suffice with just completing the other speedlist assignments via the overview. I don't know whether you mean not leveling up being pointless because it's not possible due to the game's design, or not necessary, but I still think it would be nice to be able to retain stats and unlocked cars and upgrades while being able to go back to previous levels like when progressing through your first speedlist. The reason being the AI cars scale more appropriately that way. To try and best simulate that I've also been using my tier 1 (heat 1) car to do the lower numbered speedlist assignments. The problem with that is the AI race cars scale with it, but the cop AI, not so well.

The only real way to get the same feeling of progression with each speedlist category is to start a new game for each one. EG a Race profile, one for Pursuit, and one for Drive, then the same with the Cop career. The difficult and tedious part of that of course is there's a handful of events that are very tough to get gold on which I'd rather not have to repeat.

Another, and perhaps better alternative though, would be to just not have overview speedlist assignments locked until you complete one of the career modes. That way if say you're playing on Race mode, you could do the Pursuit and Drive assignments via the overview, then finish your Racer assignments to level up. However the game doesn't just lock those other two assignment modes while playing the Race mode, it also overwrites your progress in the Race mode when you switfch modes even in the overview after completing race mode.

For a game that is open world design, it has a lot of restrictions in how you can play it. Ideally I'd like to retain the feel of unlocking events, without being forced to start at the beginning of another career mode while still at level 21 or more. I can see locking cars and events, but there's no reason to lock the alternate career mode assignments. Sure you can change speedlists at anytime, but you're inevitably still going to be left with one completed before the other two are when you level up.

They could at the very least offer a pro mode that is unlocked after finishing one career mode. Pro mode would be such that you don't level up until all three speedlist modes are completed. That way it would be easy to pick appropriate events for each speedlist as you level, vs revisiting level 1 speedlists after unlocking ALL events and getting gold on them.

I've tried to structure my Pursuit speedlist progression as best as possible, doing Easy events the first 7 or 8 speedlists assignments with a lower tier car, etc, but I found myself running out of Med and Hard events when progressing through the higher assignments and doing some events over. It just doesn't feel the same as normal progression your first time through.

1. You should only check the question option if it's something you're asking.

2. Using -GameTime.MaxSimFps ## -GameTime.ForceSimRate ##+ after the shortcut target path removes the 30 FPS cap. Just set ## to whatever FPS your rig can Handle. I use 40 with my 7970 OC

3. DICE made the Frostbite engine, so naturally there's going to be a far better chance anything they build with it will have better optimization than something made by a team like Ghost Games, whom have never used it before.

4. What you're experiencing with the controller is not the device itself being superior, it's the fact that the analog sticks on the gamepad are speed limited (response wise), and therefore less demanding. The tradeoff is it's harder to dodge traffic and such. I have gold medaled every event on my first (Racer) run through, and am well on my way to doing the same with the Patrol campaign, and I'm using a keyboard. In fact I was only .1 sec off getting gold on one of the hardest Rapid Responses with a car well below the fastest ones in the game, and had I not barely nicked a guard rail in a turn from braking too late, I'd have done it even with that car.

Level ups work the same all the way thru 61/61. Complete the speedlist, turn it in, start new speedlist. Repeat.

Yes, you have to complete GT to get lvl 21.

61/61? There's 68 events total if that's what you mean.

The problem is I want to go all the way back and do the other Speedlists starting from level 1, but it won't let me. I'm stuck on level 21 after now having beaten each Speedlist in level 21, which is the same "Complete Hot Pursuit [Hard] Grand Tour" for each one.

What do you mean by "turn it in". Every time I complete a Speedlist, when I click Continue, it automatically takes me to a new level and I don't see a way to go back to the previous one to complete the other Speedlists. Sounds like you're just stating the obvious, that completing a Speedlist is followed by continuing on to the next level, where you again start a new Speedlist.

Is there a way to just add your completed Speedlist to your stats without leveling up so you can complete the other 2 Speedlists before going to the next level?

Been a while since I played this game. I left off at level 20 in the Racer career, so all speedlists show "Complete Hot Pursuit [Hard] Grand Tour" as the objective. I'd like to keep leveling up first and try the McLaren P1 for the tour if my Ferrari F12 doesn't do well enough.

Am I stuck at level 20 until I complete the Grand Tour? Is there any way to level up without completing speedlists? I'm currently at about 2.4 million speedpoints, and I don't see any graph showing progress toward the next level, so I assume I have to complete the Grand Tour to level up.

@Avenger1324: Yes, the graphic card is nvidia GeForce R331!

PC just automatically download the drive of GeForce R331, I'll install later.

GeForce R331 is not a graphics card, it's just a driver.

The only graphics hardware you've shown so far is the Intel HD4600, which is barely above minimum spec.

LOL, I enjoyed that, always loved Niko's one liners.

I was hoping you'd have him say something about the way you have to laboriously scroll through several tiers of Easy Drive to mark a Safe House route though. Maybe in your next video. Good encoding job though, great video and audio quality.

The game needs better optimization and a better HUD and menu system. I have a 7970 and without the command line to remove the 30 FPS frame rate cap, I get crap performance even with the latest patch. Even with that command though I cannot set it to 60 FPS, because there are still frame rate dips as low as 35 FPS or less that cause huge lag. Best I can do is set it to cap at 40 FPS, then it plays with minimal lag.

Easy Drive needs shortcut options where you can bind certain keys to skip straight to Safe House or Repair Station GPS waypoints. I get really tired of having to scroll through it to set Safe House or Repair Station waypoints when I'm being chased.

The game desperately needs a reset car on track option. There are lots of places in the game where you can get stuck in areas you can't get out of by driving, wrecking, or jumping, and your only option when this happens is to exit game and load the prior auto save upon restarting, which can make you lose a LOT of points in the process.

There's a lot of sp stats the menu doesn't show, like drift distance. The Career Overview is not registering speedlists you've already completed. I've completed all of them but the Grand Tour, and every one before that has objective boxes that are still showing as empty, even though I've completed them and gotten the reward for it. I've seen this same problem on my friend's PS4 version.

I'm only at racer level 20 so far, so I'm sufficing with the Ferrari F12. It's stock control stat is 8.2 compared to 8.5 for the P1, and if you max the control upgrades it handles pretty well. It also has way better strength and durability than the P1.

I'll probably swap out my level 4 shock wave for level 4 ESF when I try the grand tour. For now I'm finishing up getting gold medals on the events, I have 2/3 of them so far. I'm also going to use the ESF to get used to that vs shock before trying the tour.

You do need good handling in this game, but you also need strength and durability. Up until now I've been getting by with turbo and shock with no defense tech, but it's cost me a few gold medals where I got wrecked just before the finish line.

So to answer, no, I don't feel the fastest, best handling cars are overpowered, because they're usually weak in strength and durability. The Ferraris are the only cars that are consistently well balanced in stats, but you feel their shortcomings in speed, accel, and control vs some cars. The only exception being tier 1 (Heat 1) cars, where the Aston Martin Vanquish rules.

Which controller is better depends on the player. A lot of people that grew on on gamepads struggle with KB/M.
