@bfa1509: Yeah, I agree. Though Wrath of Cortex only really exacerbated the problems that were prevalent in Warped: A lack of levels that are pure platforming and focus instead on silly vehicular gimmicks. A quick count off the top of my head tells me there were two underwater levels, four motorbike levels, four jet ski levels and three aeroplane levels. I won't count the Pura levels because their gimmick has been done before in previous games, but that's 13 levels out of 32. Cut out the two non-levels for gems in the secret warp room and that's 13/30... which is way too much, just under half of the game dedicated to silly gimmick levels rather than the platforming Crash was known for. Two levels each maybe, but...
I mean, WoC had a bunch of other problems; in addition to the multiple vehicle levels it had loading time issues and the fun and cool bosses of the series replaced by one particularly annoying antagonist. It also felt rather bland on the whole, rather plastic and dull compared to the vibrance of the earlier three platformers. You did get to play as Coco properly (not attached to jetski/pura) so it has that going for it I suppose.
I'd also agree that TwinSanity was the downfall of the series; from there on it hasn't been great, the mutant/titan games were pretty terrible on the whole.
@bfa1509: I dunno, CTR stands as quite possibly the best kart racing game ever and Wrath of Cortex wasn't bad per se. I'll give you everything afterwards, though.
Well, I mean, this news is like a doctor saying to you
"Good news, we won't need to amputate your toe. Bad news is we need to take your foot instead. Plus a hand to cover the cost."
Avatar had one thing going for it, the villain was probably one of my favourite villains in a film, and he's dead. Other than that it was just sappy "The HUMANS are BAD and NATURE is GOOD!" interspersed with occasional blue boobs.
