I greatly appreciate posts like this. I also am quite glad to hear that Tam put so much thought into his review; people like to decry reviewers, needless to say, but I think it's important to remember that they're people, gamers, and oftentimes fans just like the readers are. A review from a KH fan means more to me anyway.
That being said, I am extremely curious to see how fans are feeling about KH3. Most people on Reddit are still playing it but are saying the game is too easy, for one, but everyone seems to be loving it regardless. I just finished Olympus and I'm playing on Proud, so I'm waiting until I get deeper into it before I agree on that point, partly because I always enjoy a strong challenge but I know I'm not nearly as good at it as many of the more hardcore fans probably are. And most importantly, it's so much fun! It's had me giggling with excitement the whole time. My biggest criticism so far, save for the fact that I am less enthused with 'Frozen' than many people are, is not with the game itself, but with whoever designed that awful GameStop exclusive poster.
There's plenty more I could say, but I'll end this comment by saying I think Tam did a fine job.
@gamingdevil800: Whoo boy. If those two games do go to the Epic Store, I feel like that will be the big turning point for them. They will officially be a rival for Steam at that point, no doubt about it. I already know people who are chomping at the bit for Borderlands, much less Red Dead on PC.
I knew it was too good to be true. Isolation wasn't bad, in fact I appreciated its detail, but a lot of people felt like it was a good idea stretched too thin; when I heard they were teasing a potential sequel to it, I was skeptical and curious. What could they possibly add to it that couldn't have been in the first one in order to make it worthwhile?
Unfortunately, mobile and handheld games are D.O.A. to me, so I won't play this. But it was fun to entertain the notion while it lasted!
@jako998: I agree, Locke was cool. For me though it was the fact that they hyped up the story so much to be something it wasn't; when you boot the game up for the first time, it even says that this game is the "most dramatic Halo game to date", which is not only subjective but hilariously exaggerated. So it wasn't so much Locke as it was the game surrounding him.
