We need solid games to launch the system to a more well known place. Right now marketing has been pretty terrible and really there isn't any Triple A titles to boost want for the Vita. In Japan the release of Persona 4 the Golden has increased sales of the system well enough but in other countries we don't have something to the same effect. Assassins Creed will help but there needs to be a new IP that will catch the masses. That aside, while people I've met at work, (I work in retail) will often know of the Vita but they know very little about it. Sony needs to push it-- commericals, media, hell throw it in a movie or two to show people the Vita actually exists. They have this excellent piece of tech but don't flaunt it. Flaunt it Sony, flaunt that thing.

I've always thought Squall was a cooler Final Fantasy character than Zack was. That said, In a fight, I think Zack probably would win.

Wow, really old thread. Haven't played Crisis Core in what feels like forever.

I wonder if it has to do with the beta. I heard a few people complaining about the balance for some of the characters. Like Sly Cooper being too over powered. Regardless, better they push it back and tweak it than release something buggy or unfair.

I personally didn't have that big of an issue with controls. Yeah on some of the challenges, especially the ones where you glide along the floor were a nuisance too beat, overall though I didn't have many gripes about it. As far as the last hidden boss I will agree though I did have a problem connecting hits. That type of enemy was definitely my least favorite type to fight because of the hit detection. I actually thought the game was pretty great, albeit short.

I realized that the nearby green gems (HP gems) re-appears quickly after you take them. This means that you can fly out and get as many hits on it as possible and then fly back and get full health. It's somewhat "cheating", but I didn't care at the time and neither does I now.

Not gonna lie, I did the same thing as well. It took me a few tries, had to constantly go pick up health items and then come back to beat it. Really its the only creature that gave me any troubles. Besides retrying challenges I never really had to restart over in the game save a few times.

It definitely requires luck before skill. I would do so well with getting the notes but if they arent placed well then its going to be impossible within the timeframe. I would rate death mode 6/10 in difficulty since it was no where near as difficult as some of the rayman levels I had to overcome. And I finished the platinum last night. Now its off to make some levels for my 5 year old to play.

Agreed. a lot of them no matter how could you were if they were placed far apart you had no chance of winning that round. But it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. Just took patients and a lot of luck. Got the platnium on friday.

[QUOTE="flowersjf"]Surprised Unit 13 isn't on there. That was my first ever Platinum and it didn't give me too much trouble except for the 2nd HVT mission.damann22

The second and seventh HVT mission were the hardest for me. But Unit 13 really isnt that difficult if you have friends to give you HVTs. Otherwise I would rate it 7/10. Luckly I have lots of experience with third person shooters on handhelds with Socom:FTB III that I sprinted thru Unit 13 campaign and 5 starred everything. Now im trying to plat Sound Shapes and still working on wipeout 2048.

Hows the Sound Shape platting going? I've completed a few of the challenges but some of them are aggravating. Requires a bit of luck with the placings of the coins.

I bought the Vita when it first came out in the US. While there was a period where I didn't really use it around May because of the lack of material to sink my teeth in, lately it's seen much use. With games like Disgaea, Gravity Rush, Virtua Tennis 4, Escape Plan and soon Sound Shapes, I have games to play now. Also with the decent amount of games coming before the end of the year with titles like, Little Big Planet, Persona 4 and Assassins Creed III, I will be busy. Besides games I love watching videos and listening to music, Music Unlimited being used alot, so there is more to do than just playing games. Enjoying it much more than my 3DS which hardly saw any use-- ended up selling it because of this. Really my only gripe with the Vita is the battery life. I just wish the system would last longer without having to charge it.
