The negatives brought up by the reviewer don't seem that bad, except for the poor level design. I would've liked to hear more about why the level design was poor. The graphics look fine to me. I also disagree with the idea that it's a problem that you can beat every boss with your basic weapon. I feel that the reviewer may have had a negative bias.

@BassMan: Yes, and it was mainly due to mismanagement. He is older now, and hopefully wiser. He needs to make sure his staff is doing their job or fire them.

If your game can be almost fully enjoyed by merely watching someone else play it, then it wasn't a good game.

Is nothing sacred to Microsoft? They are dragging a once great franchise through the mud with this game.

How is challenging combat tedius? I find RPGs where you go through easy encounter, after easy encounter, just doing your basic attacks, to be the boring gameplay. Challenging combat forces you to think, adapt, and use your characters to their greatest effect. That is the very definition of good gameplay. This reviewer is using verbal gymnastics to try and emphasize things that are not actually a problem. The only legitimate complaints are about choppy animations and performance issues. The majority of this review is garbage.

This is a good roguelike RPG with all robots, and a very robotic environment. The gameplay is tactical, and punishes bad choices.

Sounds like half his complaints were that the game was too challenging. Challenge can be seen as a good thing.

Here's another thing that puzzles me. Why is Microsoft considering mobile devices if the Halo experience can be made great? It could certainly be great on PC with keyboard and mouse controls, but that isn't even a consideration.

"I want it to be native to the control that works. So we obviously did Halo: Spartan Assault on Windows and it's doing really well."

I find this statement very puzzling. When I hear "Windows", I think keyboard and mouse. It's an input method that works great with FPS games. Microsoft is blind. They don't see a huge potential market that already uses their OS.
