Any average Joe has the formula to Wii U failure: Underpowered + Pricy Tablet Gimmick. Nintendo should've made a straight forward console, with a nice hardcore controller and slightly stronger than the X1, sitting at $350 at launch. They should steal most part of the X1 market this way. Comparing to the X1: almost the same power, but $150 cheaper only for the Kinect, which isn't appealing. Comparing to the PS4: $50 less, with better controller (yes, many people think the Dual Shock is terrible) and the well known Nintendo 1st party games. The formula of succes was on their hands, but they've missed it because they were seduced by the Wii numbers and casual gamers.
