@REDShadowG: You call anyone who prefers TW3 over Skyrim a CDPR fanboy troll, but look at what you've been writing here!

@REDShadowG: TES combat was always rubbish, get over it. It's just "stand in front of the enemy and hold attack button". It's like you're playing tabletop RPG, combat is just dice rolling and drinking potions. In The Witcher 3 you'll need a bit of timing at least.

@Salt_AU@doctor_mg@Red-XIII@nabinator: No it isn't the best engine, not by a long shot. Look at how the game world is clumsily patched in Fallout 4. You need to get through long loading times in order to access tiny rooms or hub areas, and then wait for a longer loading screen in order to return to the overworld. This is 2000's game machanics. We're in 2017, look at The Witcher 3, its made-from-scratch engine manages to draw a continuous, cohese world while delivering exceptional graphics.

That's not to mention the tons of bugs. It's easy for the player to get stuck in the scenario, it usually takes just two uneven surfaces to become totally unable to move and be forced to reload your game. And how about crazy ragdoll behavior making lots of noise and particles (dust, water splashes) as they don't seem to be able to find a resting condition. These are technical flaws that are inherent to the engine.

But the icing on the cake is really the bad performance. I play on a GTX 1070 / i7 3820, but wasn't able to max out the game with 60+ fps @ 1080p. Ultra God Rays and HBAO+ made my rig go below 30fps at some times. It's ridiculous that such a bare bones looking game runs slower than GTA V and TW3 on my PC.

The Creation Engine used to be a good one back in the day. Now it's just outdated.

@Mogan: Thanks for that, but there's no need to feed the troll, let him say anything he likes.

I don't want to even try playing on those 144Hz 4k screens. I'm quite content with my GTX 1070, so I don't want to raise my own graphics bar, 1080p @ 60Hz is enough for now... It's really frightening that even the GTX 1080 struggles to get playable framerates at native 4k.

@Arkhalipso: GS gives Sony's mediocre games pretty high scores on the other hand.

Bethesda needs to ditch their beloved engine for good. Its navigation and combat systems are obsolete right now, they should revamp the melee combat system entirely if they want to release a good new TES.

@alien-ouy: This is another obvious paid review. The melee fighting doesn't seem to be enjoyable at all, it's just a button-mashing fest.

Did you notice that the reviewer's character didn't die once in the whole video review? That's subliminal tactics to avoid frustrating feelings from the audience.

Motion blur may be used to reduce the choppiness of low framerates too. This technique is widely applied to console games for that matter.
