I take back everything I posted. Sony played this like a well tuned violin. Their timing of the announcements/bombshells at their conference was pitch perfect and designed to make maximum impact.

It's one thing if the entire industry is going in a direction, but it's clearly not now, and this is something you guys are pushing for. It's clear that if these publishers can develop these amazing looking games on PS4, the traditional way, they can survive just fine.

It's everything I wanted out of next generation gaming. You nailed me on that part and about wanting different experiences and it's clear you can deliver that.

Drop the used games bullshit, and we'll talk. You can give us a free market digital distribution system where people can happily own and sell their licenses at will and maintain their ownership. You can do cloud gaming, without the need to ask anyone to check in every 24 hours. I know it's possible because I've played it. Until then, I hope Sony and Nintendo kicks living shit out of you because they clearly don't have the nerve you do to spit in the face of their customers like you are and I will make sure to educate your future customers on this issue and what it is that you guys are trying to do.

You will need early adopters like me for this console to succeed. You need gamers like me to spread the word on why your tech is cool and your games are so different. They don't get it without hardcore gamers like us, explaining it and selling them on it. They won't be there! I will not be in a line waiting for this thing. Buy it yourselves. With these kind of prices and restrictions, you're the only ones who can afford it! Enjoy!

PS: And honestly I don't give a shit if some of the games might get pirated if you go digital so that's not an excuse for me. It's always been a part of the business. You have the power to send the FBI to rain down on a 17 year old kid in Australia. You can protect yourselves just fine from this. It would never be at the point where it would damage your business so much that you have to do this. It's just not a good enough excuse.

When you choose not to showcase THE biggest first party line up on the planet and then win by default because your competitor is a stupid greedy anti-consumer pos company then you did not have a good conference. Even the third party stuff looked like last gen. Destiny, Watchdogs, Ass Creed and indie games looked terrible next to MGSV, Batfllefield 4 and The Witcher 3. Good to know that the PS4 will have better versions of those games, but it still made for a shitty press conference.

D+. And thats me being generous. They dont get any points for $399 since thats what they should have priced it at. And they dont get any points for not blocking used games. They lose points for putting PS+ behind a pay wall.

Naughty Dog has two studios. They had the Last of Us trailer ready two weeks after Uncharted 3 came out.

Too much time spent on third-party stuff, do people really give a rat's rectum that the PS3/PS4 will get special crap in DIABLO III?

That said, I think their rationale is to not blow their load too early, although they should at least show something from Amy Hennig's team and at least a glimpse of what the second GG team is working on.

They've basically screwed the pooch on this one, both by trying to make their console into this cable box monstrosity resulting in the whole DDR3 ESRAM bullcrap which ultimately hurt the console's performance, and hurt themselves in terms of price point by including Kinect which a lot of people don't care about.

It's not like they can redesign and relaunch at this point.
