The irony, after reading this review, is that the detective part was actually the only thing that kept me interested. The fighting, on the other hand, bored me because "once again, here we go, hide behind crates and shoot moving things... yawn".

I do agree that the underwater part should've been more stretched out. I'd personally love to have the opportunity to do there a bit of what I did in Dr. Bryson's lab, but alas, all I got was some cutscenes.

Considering this is paid DLC, I would never recommend it, but if it was free, then yes, the detective part alone makes it a good addition, and definitely a change from all the annoying shooting the rest of the game already has.

This is good news to me. I remember when GameSpot decided to go more lenient with their moderating, a couple of years or so ago, and that's when the site became a cheap copy of YouTube - especially the comments sections.

I'm glad you're going back to a more strict approach. I applaud the decision, GameSpot.

I don't see these people complaint about Kratos in God of War, any of the characters in Gears of War, or any of the males in, well, most fighting games... so, objectifying men is ok, but women must be "protected"?

It's an artist's expression. Deal with it. We're in the 21st century, and acceptance of nudity in general is long overdue, anyway.

As the Joker would say: "this town needs an enema"

@Bellum_Sacrum @WantYouBad You're right when you say it's aimed at a younger audience, but that's not why it's considered "entry-level". In any industry, entry-level just means it has the lowest price point in a series.

Microsoft did the right thing in going back on their initial plans. Showing flexibility and receptiveness towards the public that PAYS for your product is never a bad thing and, in fact, it's those changes that made me consider buying a X1 again - something I swore not to do when they initially announced the original plan.

Still, the price alone means I won't be getting it at launch, that's for sure.

Regarding Fez 2, I kind of think the move to quit is for the better. We're living in a time when people actually believe that "freedom of speech" is the same as "I can say whatever the heck I want", which is false.

Saying whatever we want is bound to have consequences, and I believe it's time (some) people start realizing it's more productive to be encouraging towards the creators of our entertainment (giving positive criticism and feedback, for instance) rather than being vulgar and destructive.

One developer makes little difference, though, but if others start taking the hint...

They forgot to mention another reason why some people collect... challenge. You can observe this with people who collect other things, like coins or stamps. The point is not to use them or because you're attached to them, but because you want to see how far can you go. If you complete a collection, it gives you a sense of accomplishment.

In a way, I suppose it's similar to people wanting to get all "achievements" or "trophies" in a modern videogame.

Used games are a collector's dream. Many people collect videogames these days, and if it wasn't for the used market, they'd be stuck with whatever the companies are putting out at "present".

Even if you're not a collector, getting used games means you can have more games for the same investment, so it's very attactive to people on a budget.

Oh, and welcome back.
