I have no problem with how the achievement system is now.HadronVulture

Does that mean you do not care what the system is or becomes, or does that mean that you "love" the system right now?

I would love to show my self off as a person that did not love achievements. But that is not who I am. Anything I do, I do it with a passion. I am a like a all or nothing person. If I do something, I do it completely, and if I do not do something completely, I am totally lazy and do not even do it. So if I start playing a game, it is not fun for me if I do not complete the entire game in a correct sequential order (prequel, story, sequel, etc..) and if I do not get everything possible to get (Unlockable Themes, Avatar Awards, Gamerpictures, Achievements, Cutscenes, etc..). And yes, it irks me so when a game remains incomplete because of my lack of skills to reach the standard set by the game developers.

That being said, I do not think deleting gamerscore would be that good of an idea. I would love to delete my gamerscore for incomplete games, it would be amazing, and I would always use it. But, if that happens, it would mess up the scores. There are a lot of people who compare their own scores to other people (no, while I do a lot of things, this is what I do not do), and so it is sort of like a sports ranking. If someone lost a bunch of games in a Tennis Tourney (like I did when I was younger), and their score got recorded (like it does), and then later on in their lives they saw something like:

13-4-15

And were like... oh my God, my ties! I did more ties than wins.

And if they wanted to erase their stats, wonder how the rest of the community would feel? Sure, they could give $1 million, instead of your proposed 1k Microsoft points, to show how that was physical life vs this data life, but same concept, right? The whole ranking system would become totally useless for many people.

P.S: My own speculation: if they allowed removing gamerscore for points, people would just want to say, we will pay 10k Microsoft points to unlock 100% achievements for this game. Which would be even worse.

Spoilers are overrated. Lol

The difficulty is not really a difficulty, but rather a requirement for a strategy. Sort of like... if you cannot get past something, it is not hard, just that there is a specific way of doing it, and you need to find that. You can always watch a walkthrough if you get stuck.

TC I'm confused.. you said you unplugged and unattached your Xbox before moving it, so what's the problem? The problem with moving it while the disc is inside is if the disc is spinning, it'll be scratched upon movement. If the Xbox was off and the disc wasn't spinning, there's no reason to worry about it.wwervin

Well, some people walk so ungracefully that they move and spin the disk with the force of their body.

[QUOTE="Eternal-Entity"]

As long as the disk did not turn too much, and as long as you walked with the grace of a queen, everything should be fine. I usually take out my disks, but once every year or so, I will be having a bad day and forget to take it out while moving the Xbox 360 around (mostly taking it downstairs to take it apart and get the dust out... a lot of dust..melted dust). But I seriously walk like a queen, no sound of my foot steps, can balance 10 books on my head, etc... so no scratches have ever been on my disks.

I always walk like a queen.

Good, then your disk is fine. :D

[QUOTE="k2theswiss"]microsoft tried go the cheap route... HavocV3

Microsoft is always cheap. Lol, all the Office, Outlook, and other such applications actually destroy your computer. The owner, Bill Gates, had his family pay for his business. But whatever, I still love the games and at least Microsoft is decent enough to "fix" the consoles.

the original Xbox wasn't cheap. That thing wasn't even profitable for them, they lost money on every single one of those 23 million consoles that were sold at retail. the 360 was their attempt at being cheap and it backfired horrendously.

Not sure how MS Office could be considered a virus, it's an expensive software suite that just works well. And I believe he got a loan from a neighbor to start his business. Not sure how that's a bad thing and it doesn't really matter who it was, since loaning that guy money would have been the best investment you could have ever made.

"the 360 was their attempt at being cheap and it backfired horrendously."

This was what I meant. Sorry if I worded it wrong and caused confusion before.

"Not sure how MS Office could be considered a virus, it's an expensive software suite that just works well"

Not a virus. But it is accessible by new users, and kids, who are not told when they buy the programs along with new computers that this software will cause major defragmentation and cause the computer to run so hard that in under 3 years, a computer that would have lasted 5-7 years, will be useless. Using Jarte + Web Browsers + Notepad mostly does the same thing. But oh well, I love Microsoft Office, it makes things easier, and I know how to handle computers now through trial and error, so not a big deal.

Just like any good story needs a good explanation of the past events of a character, so to do I need to enlighten people on my way of thinking. I am a person who believes in giving 100% of the information to every single being that can understand that information (if they do not, I will try to teach them how to understand). I do not believe in things like, "Google it", or "Read the book". If someone has a question, ask it, and either I, or someone else should be able to answer it. That is why even for the companies that are only abusing people on a moderate level are looked down upon by me.

That being said, I love the things Microsoft makes though, and I have nothing against the company personally. There are things I like, things I do not like, the company itself bears no meaning to me.

The neighbour giving him a loan is a cover up. In the world, where there are so many prejudices and jealousy, how many people would buy items from a guy who admitted to being spoon fed?

If you can't convince yourself to get one why should we waste our time trying to make you change your mind?

Vari3ty

Because it will entertain us if he actually gets it? And it is practice for our skills in convincing people to do things.

[QUOTE="Eternal-Entity"]

Actually, looking back on the topic, I would say that:

I want:

1. A game in Earth, but where we can fly planes like HAWX or Battlefiend 1943

2. A game where we can navigate a ship or submarine on the sea.

3. A game where we can operate a machine that lets us dig through the earth and pop up into enemy territory like Locusts in Gears of War.

4. A game where I can fly a space ship outside of Earth.

5. An inter-planetary conflict like Halo, only we get to actually fight in space, and have control of the mother ships that "glass" planets.

6. A world force, not a U.S force, with the characters that are protagonists being of all races on Earth, instead of just White and Black people.

If a game with all of that came out, I would buy 50 copies or more and give them to my friends so they could play with me (since most of my friends are cheap).

If a game with even one of those came out, that is a CoD game, I would be very happy with the CoD series.

3dfd

Lol, I was not expecting any answer to be that over-the-top. I was thinking more like

1) Innovation in zombies mode

2) Dumb down killstreaks's power

3) Matchmaking filter

4)

My mind is very greedy. It hungers for new ideas.

I miss the cartridge days, you never really had to worry about a game not working, and if it didn't? You could easily clean out the dust from it, or clean the pins so it could connect to the pin connector in the consoles! Man I miss the N64 Days and Super Nintendo days lol!

Anyhow, some cases I have a problem with, especially the ones you have to smash down on the middle part between the disk or whatever to pop it loose from it's resting spot.

Gaming4You1990

For those cases, what you need to do is grab on to the very edge of the disk, either with your fingers (or if they have that raised circle around the disk, use your nails, the outer rim of the disk cannot be scratched), and you push on the middle button (unless it is one of those solid block ones, in which case you ignore it), and pull the disk up slowly. Never have I broken a disk, but then again, I hate broken stuff, and I tread the disks like I would treat my baby (if he or she was stuck in a Xbox 360 disk case that is).
