"Next up! DRAKE OF THE 99 DRAGONS!!!" ~ Major Nelson

And sure enough the M$ loyal fanboys will gobble this garbage up without questions and blindly.

@dani_i89 @andmcq Not really. Games for Gold was raised as competition to the PSN+ and was boasted as being a "reward" for all of those who sign up for gold. So far we've been given old titles (which can be picked up for less than £5 here in the UK brand new from Amazon) and FTP games alongside some Xbox Live titles.

M$ is taking the piss out of everyone by this. Don't raise something as a competitor if all you're offering is games that the majority of people already have.

So far Games for Gold has yet to triumph over PSN+ and gives me zero incentive to stay with M$. Many people are switching over to the PS4 due to this blatant disregard for the consumers.

@racerxgundam So true and it's funny to see all these fanboys trying to defend them. Xbox Live Games for Gold was raised as a competitor to PSN so of course we have a right to compare the two and scoff at the offerings of M$ who can't afford to be generous even once in their lives.

@emperiox @McGregor It also needed some challenging gameplay and unique features because asides from the destiny system the game was nothing we hadn't seen before.

@heresiarchqin Non-arguably TES has terrible combat. The fact that KoA's combat is "arguably" better is testament to what a mediocre game it was considering the combat of TES is not hard to beat. Every other recent RPG that has come out has better combat than it (i.e The Witcher series, Dragon Age series, Dragon's Dogma, Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Mount and Blade series, Dark Messiah Might and Magic). With Amalur it wasn't the lore that made the game boring but the non-existent challenge and Fable-clone combat.

TES = Worst combat in an action-RPG.

Fable = Easiest gameplay in an action-RPG.

Some idiot however thought to combine these two features. The result is Amalur which becomes a chore to play through as a result. The "1,000 years lore" is a snore-feast and the world leaves much to be desired. It didn't help that Amalur released the same time as Dragon's Dogma which had Capcom behind it who are known for impressive combat and gameplay not only in their fighting games but in games such as their Devil May Cry series. Amalur was boasting itself as the "best combat in an action-RPG" but it was pale in comparison to Dragon's Dogma (which does have the best combat in an action-RPG) which is still being updated a year after release with new content while Amalur has faded into obscurity.

Not that I would look at TES for direction on how to design a world. I think Dark Souls is the world that should be looked at. Although multi-open world someone needs to look at it and say "how can we implement the variety and unique individual rewards that Dark Souls offers with each of its regions into an open world?"

@RobDev @wjcb2004 @kingnothing47 There are facts in The Bible. Most historians today agree the extra-biblical evidence for Jesus (Josephus, Pliny The Younger etc) proves he existed so much that even the atheist Dawkins has admitted Jesus existed (although just as a regular man).

But let's NOT get into a religious debate because of an atheist troll pretending to be Christian.

@WolfGrey @Lhomity

There were eighteen new enemies and the new content was set on a entirely new tileset with new items, new music and new bosses.

Dark Souls' expansion only had ten new enemies and it was much smaller in comparison so I don't understand how you could rage at Dark Arisen when it provided more content.

Sure there were some rehashed content (Grim goblins, zombies and some post-dragon enemies from the original game) but once you got past the first few areas you encountered more and more of the new enemies. NG+ on Dark Arisen is pretty much just composed of these new enemies and brings the much needed challenge to Dragon's Dogma.

Two monsters were actually new? Seriously?

-Death

-Skeleton Brute

-Maneater

-Warg

-Gazer

-Cursed Dragon

-Garm

-Living Armor

-Dark Bishop

-Banshee

-Eliminator

-Golden Knight/Silver Knight

-Gore-cyclopes

-Imprisoned Cyclopes

-Leap Worm

-Warg

-Wraith

-Daimon

These were the new enemies and while you might say "oh the garm is just the chimera" you'd be wrong if you've actually played the new content. The attacks are different as well as its entire appearance and defenses and you might say the new cyclopes are rehashed and while I'd agree on their appearances (even though their phenotypes are different), their entire move-set is completely different.

All in all, the best expansion for a game that came out this year if you ask me and this is how other expansions for other games should be like. Not like Bethesda's 3 hour ones which were priced at £13 in comparison to Dark Arisen which released at £18 with the original game and the new 40+ hour content.
