I can't play on Xbox live with a guest on my log in! Is this right? The guest isn't allowed on?

For me to be scared by a game, I have to set the atmosphere myself. I have to turn the lights off, I have to play at night, I have to play with my headphones on and with no-one else in the room. Resident Evil wouldn't be scary in the middle of a summer's day with 4 people in the room with you, same goes with this. But then again, I wasn't scared by it, it's more jumpy than scary. Still, the atmosphere is fantastic, and I'm pretty sure I had a few heart attacks while playing.karriston

You need to play it in a dark room late at night. Then put head phones on. Then with the only sound you can hear is from the game I bet the hairs on the back of your neck raise.

It's all about atmosphere, you get that right and you have one hell of a game experience.

Firstly let me state, I am talking of advertising in the UK. Not any where else, but the UK.

The GOTY version in my veiw is not quite the package it should be. Check out the GOTY version of Oblivion.

On the disk you buy is The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles and the downloadable content, Knights of the Nine. This is ASadvertised on Game.co.uk and Amazon.co.uk. So the buyer know exactly what they are getting.

Now the GOTY version of COD 4. Is advertised on Game, Amazon and Play as including the 4 extra levels. But (and here's my concern) does not state the levels are down load only. In the pack you get a code that you use on a website, this in turn gives you a redeem code which you then use on the 360 "redeem code" option and down load the levels.

So what's my gripe. Well I bought the PS3 version when it came out and was very happy, but as I play 360 most of the time and I wanted the achievement points and to play my family and friends I wanted the 360 version. So I was waiting for the price to drop. Then along come the new levels. And then I found an advert for the GOTY version that included the levels. So I thought I would buy the GOTY and I did. I assumed (because of the adverts on the UK sites above and the fact that I bought the GOTY Oblivin) that the extra levels are on disk. Wrong.

If I decide at some point to sell my GOTY COD 4, then the package isn't valued as high, because the extra levels cannot be sold on. Whilst I own then, it is impossible for me to recoup my investment.

Now had I known prior to my purchase that the levels are DL only I could have made an informed and considered decision. I could have bought an second hand copy of COD 4 for around £28 to £30 quid (currently) on ebay and then bought the levels off Xbox live thus saving a few pounds.

Before you start flaming me. Consider, UK advertising 1st. How much research do you expect a person to do for a game? A buyer should have the relevant info on the poster/advert or even the box of the product. And I don't care if you (the reader) knew, I didn't have a reasonable source (reasonable being a standard advert) to access that info.

I think the companies involved Microsoft, Activision and Infinity Ward have taken advantage of the loyal user base they have by having them as DL only.

[QUOTE="pinionxl"]Or I could just turn on channel 26.FearTheRain

Exactly, what a pointless thread.

Who in their right mind would want to be arsed with going through all this trouble to watch BBC anyways?!

FearTheRain, the point I was trying to make and you clearly missed it was that the 360 can (if set up correctly) stream video from your PC. How many of us actually use this function? Well I now use the BBC Iplayer and I got fed up with the small screen on my PC and Mac. And now with the BBC's downloader you can watch the programs you have missed or wish to watch again on any device that allows WMV play back. i can put my 360 in any room in my house and watch streamed data of my PC. A worth while exercise I think. I have also done this for Channel 4 in the UK.

This abilitiy of the 360 is in my view a strong plus point for the 360 in a year that I believe the PS3 will make significant gains in sales and therefore put pressure on the 360's dominance of the Next Gen gaming market.

Your lack of interest in the thread is noted and I therefore suggest unless you have any positive to add to the thread, you exercise your right to use other threads.

Go to the BBC home page (www.bbc.co.uk) and click on BBC Iplayer. This takes you through to the Iplayer main menu. Find the program you want to watch and press on the image for that program. Select download, you then have to install the bbc download manager.

In download manager select the location to download to in this case in your documents/my video.

As long as you has set up your connection between the 360 and pc, select videoyou may need to change your source to the PC. Open each folder and you should come to the files you have downloaded and da daaaa. Lovely BBC in wide screen through your 360 to where every you use it.

I use Homeplugs so I can watch it any where in the house.

This would work on the PS3, but supprisingly the PS3 can't read the format.
