Finally. It is about time they made the combat a bit more "complicated." It was stale since Mortal Kombat 2... and I loved MK2..

So you only care about big names no one else cares about?

How are they no names when they have accomplished more things than the common man? You may not know them, but other people do, and they have recognized them for their accomplishments.

It clearly sounds like you're self-reflecting here. Pretty sad.

I think you need to do more research on the Medieval time period. One thing we can say for sure is that these games all belong in the FANTASY category, not necessarily Medieval, if not at all.

If anything, there is a lack of TRUE medieval video games in the gaming industry. Just because a guy wears shiny armor or wields a sword and shield equates to it being Medieval. That couldn't be further from the truth.

Why? You do realize that they cannot update vanilla Last Light to Last Light Redux, right? I think you and some other people have this very confused.

Redux is running on a completely new engine. You cannot update the original Last Light engine to a completely new one. That would be MAGIC. There's no such thing.

So what you want is a new game? You already played Last Light. When the graphics and game were both already at its highest peak at the time. What more do you want? I feel you're being greedy.

Besides, to remedy the situation, because the developer knew people would be in an uproar (because some gamers complain about almost everything), they discounted the Redux version for the rest of us that played the game a long damn time ago.

It's like the difference between 1080p and 4K resolution. You can tell, but you need to have an eye for these sorta things. I can tell the difference.

How? By getting greedy, I guess. Developing too many games at once. I understand they have several studios, and these studios often times collaborate with one another on video games to spread out their sources where needed. While this may sound good for production costs, I feel that along the way, they lost their focus. On top of that, they have to deal with new technology and coding for it. All of that must have been draining during development.

In this case, I don't think a 7.0 is a bad score, it's a good score. In someone else's eyes, it may be a 9.0. None of that matters anyway.

I don't think the problem is that it is Far Cry 3.5. Almost everything they amp'ed up are great from what I see. The problem is the awful story and characters. It's too bad. This isn't to say that you won't have a blast in this game though.

I have been in situations like that as well. There is very little room at the top, so the big heads become protective of their position, almost snapping their jaws at you if you get too close to becoming "that good" as them. When you're younger, sharper, and more efficient, it takes a worse toll. I hear ya loud and clear.

While I do agree that the employees run the business in a sense, you need leaders. You can have a boat of 100 employees that have a specific set of skills, but they have no leadership qualities or experience; they will all drawn because no one is a captain.

Look at sports teams. Leaders emerge. Most people are followers. And that's okay. While I do ask that companies with good management to treat their employees with the respect, pay, and kindness that they deserve and earned.

And, I am in no way saying Valve is like that. I'm speaking in general. We don't have a clue what really went on here. But from what I've read and seen over the many years, Valve seems to be one of the great companies to ever exist in gaming and all over the world.

You need to be really good to survive just about anywhere and everywhere in the video game industry. That's a given. Even the common denominator computer programmer can kick major ass if he was a comic book character. That's how good these game designers are. I give them so much credit for what they do. It is not easy!

At Valve, you need to be more than good, you need to be able to adapt and fit in with the system. People who are not used to rotation work, working with new people daily, weekly, etc, will probably not be successful at Valve. At Valve, they really utilize their resources and manpower, and they have expectations for teamwork and creating a platform where people could get really passionate about their work. Often times, employees are left alone or in team groups to come up with ideas, concepts, and new projects. If you are the type of employee that is only good at replicating ideas that were fed to you, you gotta pack up your bags. While more creative freedom is given at Valve, you cannot squander your time.
