Will the developers even be able to use up all that flops for their games? If i recall the XSX isn't as dev friendly as the PS5. I only see exclusives games reaching it or coming close to it.....but MS isn't known for their console pushing exclusives. Just look at the Xbox one X......nothing takes full advantage of that console. And i don't see 3rd party devs really trying hard to figure out the hardware, etc.

Sony seems to have developed the PS5 with little to NO bottlenecks...the same can't be said about XSX, apparently.

Thoughts?

XSX has less bottlenecks than PS5.

Bandwidth being the biggest bottleneck in every console since forever.

XSX will be dev friendly just like every single Xbox console ever was.

Unlike PS2 and PS3 which were straight disasters for developers. Sony finally learned on their 4th try how to make a console that is not a nightmare to develop on. You go Sony, it only took you 19 years to finally make a console developer friendly.

Its a good thing Sony has identified the problem.

Thanks to Xbox 360 no one else is going to be stupid enough to release a console with cooling issues. 1 Billion dollars is a lot of money to lose because an engineer overlooked the amount of cooling a console needed.

I am not sure what people are counting as high powered, but my choice is I am not getting a XSX and am keeping my 7th gen i7, 16GB of Ram and GTX 1070 PC. Because I prefer playing on PC.

That falls under the PC option.

@EG101: The Game Pass model is similar to that of Netflix.

MS pays publisher x amount to license their game in game pass. Devs get a chunk of money to reinvest in new games etc.

MS leverages said games into a monthly subscription of 9.99 (4.99 intro)

How MS makes money is that (much like netflix) the average gamer only buys 1-2 new games per year, so if they can get your $120 instead of going to some other game.....multiplied by number of users who never buy games....that's a ton of money from game pass.

The Netflix model only works well with fresh content and, recently, original content

This is why all of their first party goes in day 1.

Gamers who rarely play games or content are essentially how they subsidize the cost.

It's a brilliant adaptation

So this only benefits 3rd parties if their game has already maximized its retail sales.

Once they maximize their sales they can release a game on GP getting paid by MS and a whole bunch of people who would never have tried their game can now try it Opening up new fans to their games. Win Win.

For MS since the average person only buys 2 games a year it comes out close to even.

So how does MS recoup the money they spend getting 3rd party content?

It would likely take 50 - 100 million subscribers at 10 per month in order to make Game Pass profitable and sustainable.

That explains why MS has GP for the PC. The end Goal is 100+ Million plus subscribers which would make GP a success.

How do you think MS subsidizes the costs of a high powered console and a service like Game Pass?

The money has to come from somewhere.

Easy, they can get the money from games sales and every micro transaction. Charging for online gaming is DUMB. More money can be made by its removal.

You think more money can be made by its removal.

Wonder why MS or Sony haven't removed it yet and Nintendo just added a fee for playing on line with Switch.

If they can make more money by removing it they surely would have removed it already don't you agree?

Oh wait this isn't on PC? I thought it was releasing on PC too.

Yes! But next year.

Sony is the one Money Hatting games so that they don't release elsewhere?

What a shitty business practice.

First they money hatted SF5 and now this BS with FF7.

Isn't FF7 remake just a timed exclusive?

Yes. It's best on PC.

Good a game Like FF7 should be enjoyed by everyone.

No point on limiting your customer base.

It should just include Game Pass. Time for MS to abandon Xbox Live as a paid service.

Anyone that thinks PS5 is going to out perform XSX when both consoles are being optimized are nuts.

Just like PS4 handily out performed XB1 or XB1X handily out performed Pro will be the same way XSX will out perform PS5.

People just need to get a grip. PS5 will be awesome and Naughty Dog will make that thing sing.

@EG101: lol so a total of $840?

Remember it also includes Game Pass Ultimate which is $15 a month.

So forcing it on people? Classy.

Forcing?

No one has to use All Access.

In case you haven't heard Game Pass is the best value in gaming right now.
