I'm curious about this accessory. What're your impressions?

This is a difficult question you pose: I've played both and I love both. I lean a bit more towards Ratchet and Clank, personally, though. If you're going to get just one right now, ask yourself what kind of gameplay you prefer? The infrastructure mode in MGS is pretty cool, too, BTW - if that has any influence over your decision.

For me, the worst, the most preposterous of the accessories is the Madcatz Arcade stick. The only thing good to come out of it was the games it came with; and let's be honest, ever those weren't so hot. It was wired, which, granted, wasn't the fault of Madcatz: we all know how tightly MS holds on to their proprietary RF controller tech. But still, it was wired. More than that, the stick itslef is flimsy and cheaply made, the spinner is absurdly useless, and the whole thing costs way too much money.I traded the thing in for store credit just a few weeks after I bought it.

For some reason, I'm amused by the fact that the download for Ecco the Dolphin is around 10MB larger than the one for Hexic 2. And, is it me, or is everyone with a live account trying to download Ecco? It's slow going through the pipes.

I was at a local GS this weekend making some trades, getting a little store credit. The manager there's a nice guy, he really is. He loves games, plays a tonne of them, and seems to follow the games media. That said, some of what comes out of his mouth, which he claims to know from "the big guys at the top" is pretty funny, sometimes preposterous, and occasionally just bizarre. This thread is about things you've learned from your local GS manager about the 360 and its games.

So, this weekend I learned thatFF13 will, in fact, come to the 360 as part of a deal MS struck with Squenix that's still under wraps. PS3 will have 3 months of exclusivity. I probe him for a little evidence, point out the Squenix statement made a couple of months ago that categorically deined the game will come to the 360, and all he can say is..."the big guys at the top."

Anywho, It got me thinking: I bet people have heard some pretty crazy things from their EB managers about the 360. What've you heard?

I haven't heard boo about it. My suspicion is that, like with the PacMan announcement, which came at the last minute, after the PM Wolrd Championship, we'll hear about Wed's XBLA game tonight, at the E3 conference. That, or there won't be a game this week. Let there be speculation!

What 5.1 do you use -- if you do -- with your 360 set-up? I've been thinking about the Pioneer HTS, the one licensed by M$. (I'm mildly attracted to the fact that it's stlyed after the 360 and comes with a remote that already works with the sys.) I don't want to dump a tonne of money into AV equipment and it can be had for around 200 USD right now.

Any advice about the 5.1 upgrade appreciated.
