Does anyone know about the alternative battery covers -- the ones that will let us use the 2200mAh battery on the PSP 2000? I've read about them at Gamespot and 1up, but I can't find any info about them otherwise. Is it so hard to release a an aftermarket battery cover with the PSP 2000? It's not exactly complicated hardware. It's not hardware at all.

Did you notice? There's a new icon under the Network section of the XMB: Play Station Spot. "Use this feature when visiting a PlayStation Spot. PSS is a place where you can access the internet for free using a PSP system and download game demos, play games that are compatible with infrastructure mode or use the internet browser."

Anyone know where these PSSs are going to pop up? GameStop? Circuit City?

Anyone know how to do this? According to the XMB, you can change background, colour and icon design. Background and colour, no problem. How can we change icon design? We (by which I mean some knowledgable member of the community) should set-up an FAQ and perhaps we can start to contribut/collect links to download themes.

It's a good update -- not just aimed at improving security features. You can play music while looking at pictures, custom themes now available (though I'm not yet sure how to take advantage of this), and there's scene search and sequential playback for movies now.

I picked it up. It works well with Messenger and with the 360's native virtual keyboard. It doesn't seem to work at all with other virtual keyboards, though, like the one in PSU. It find it odd becuase my USB keyboard is totally functional (if impracticable) in that game. I was hopeful the chatpad would replace any need for a USB keyboard. I wonder if future updates will correct this?

The HDMI will be fine. Either VGA or HDMI will upconvert -- you just can't through analogue cables, is all. It's a feature of DVD security/license, blah, blah.

It's clear there won't be a multiplayer. Check out some of the Levine interviews and stories on the site.

I'll side with those in the slightly-elevated camp. I picked up 6 rubberized feet, each about an inch thick. I put four undfer the 360, one at each corner, and two under the power brick. This keeps everything raised and helps with air circulation. The 360 has lots of room in it's little comparment, and the power brick itself it out in the open.

I'm curious what this is about, too. I wonder if it doesn't have to do with the Fall Update -- which should drop in the next 6 or 8 weeks, I imagine.

Where'd you pick it up? I've been poking around in some stores, but no one has it -- Toys R Us, Best Buy Circuit City, WalMart.
