lol are you serious?

WoW all the way.

No, but seriously, as stupid as it sounds, if you find that you want to play WoW more than spend time with your GF then it's only fair that you break it off, as you're clearly not as fond of her as she is of you. That's all there is to it.

Yeah, on GameStop it still says 28th so that's what I assumed it still was. Game Informer is awesome like that. haha

I nearly shat when I saw the 7th, though. I, as well as countless others, I'm sure, have been waiting for this game for what seems like an eternity since it's debut at E3 a squillion years ago.

This might sound like a stupid question, and everywhere else I look it says it's released on the 28th... but in the most recent issue of Game Informer magazine, the release date calendar section states that it's released on the 7th. I'm assuming typo, but maybe it's released somewhere else on the planet on that date?

I've honestly spent well over 400 hours playing Oblivion and a huge chunk of it's mods and can honestly say that it is my all-time favourite game. I never really got into Morrowind so I can't exactly recommend it (or at the same time say that it's worse) over Oblivion, but I can tell you that you will have a lot of fun playing Oblivion. It all really depends on how you build your character. Just like in any RPG, the more you enjoy your character, the more fun you will have.

I would reommend modding it. There are so many different kinds of mods out there that you will have an absolute blast playing through them all. Some of the mods are complete overhauls, but the majority of them can be played along with the regular game (which the modding community refers to as Vanilla). From Castle Greyskull mods to Weapon mods to Guards' reactions mods to other mods that start the game at a completely different point, it's absolutely insane what the community has done to the game. You'll also find mods that completely retexture the game to look even better, as well as the Shivering Isle expansion. I still have the game installed on my computer because of the massive amount of mods I've put into it that I really don't want to have to do all over again if I feel like going back into it... (my Bethesda Softworks folder is over 15GBs and Obliivion is the only game I have installed by Bethesda.... haha)

But judging by what others have said about both games, you will have a lot of fun with either game. Regardless of your PC specs, I'm sure you'll be able to play both games quite easily. And if you have a little bit less of a framerate with Oblivion, there are mods out there that improve your framerate, as well, and the game looks just as good. Good luck, and have fun!

i recently purchased a pretty decent rig. i've put it together myself and there seems to be a couple problems that i'm having.

first, here's what i bought:

OCZ 700w GameXStream Power Supply

2 x WD Caviar 500GB Serial ATA HD 7200/16MB/SATA-3G

Thermaltake Max Orb CPU Cooler AMD and Intel CPU

OCZ SLI 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz (2x2048MB)

2 x EVGA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB PCIe w/Dual Link DVI

EVGA nforce 780i SLI Socket 775 Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66Ghz Socket 775 CPU

Problem #1:

i'm positive i've hooked up my video cards properly. they're in slots 1 and 2. i've installed the driver once before, but half way through the install the screen went black (as in boot-up black) with a single underscore constantly flashing. i waited for quite some time, i thought maybe it was a part of the driver install, but obviously it wasn't. i was afraid to reset my machine, but when i did, xp didn't load anymore. so i formatted again. and tried again, and the same thing happened. is there a specific way that i have to install it? only one video card at a time, maybe? i really don't know what i'm doing wrong.

Problem #2:

my second SATA hard drive isn't showing up in "my computer". in the device manager it says it's working fine. and the latest drivers have been isntalled. maybe i need to do something in my bios? i'm not sure about this one, as it's the first time i've installed SATA hard drives on my own.

much thanks to anyone who can help me with either or both of these problems.
