After the fiasco of Dragon Age 2 (obvious cash-in), ME3's ending and Day 1 DLC I had BioWare on a short rope. Which they promptly used in DA:I. So a;l I can see now is the same disjointed story-telling that has plagued BioWare for some time now.

Using DA:I as an example:

My siding with Celene didn’t affect Orlesian support. My (accidently) choosing the Templars didn't matter. My destroying the Darkspawn army did not, in anyway, weaken Corypheus, and any troops I lost to fighting the darkspawn didn’t affect my army’s performance when I finally attacked Corpyheus’ army in the Arbor wilds and it didn't even make Blackwall happy.

And the party-character stories were definitely sub-standard. When I helped Sten find his lost sword in Dragon Age: Origins, it had a lasting impact on his character. When I treated Zevran poorly (I mean, let's face it, he tried to kill me) when the Antivan Crows sent a second assassin, Zevran was quick to betray me.

Nothing in DA:I made a difference. Do the quest. Don't do the quest. Nobody cared. For example, when you help Cassandra find the lost Seekers, nothing really changed for her or the story at large. Once you're done, outside of a couple conversations you have directly after the mission, it was like the whole affair never even happened. Where was the reaction to finding out the Rite of Tranquility could be reversed and the Order was more like a brutal, repressive police-state enforcement tool than an organization used for doing good?

The fact is that, over time, the good BioWare writers have long since left for third-rate hacks. They just don't have the talent to pull off a quality, in-depth CRPG anymore. Rather, they play like single-person MMOs -- grind and disjointed stories that make no difference.

@itchyflop: Nobody is going to go 'Oh, I won't be buying this $600 tech gizmo (or the $3,000 full bundle) because I can't play a Janitor Sim!"

@nabinator: Not only was she there, she was in the FRONT ROW! And Trump gives money to the Clinton foundation. American politics is as incestous as it can be.

@LonelyStep: Exactly. The one guy I heard of had a Twitter melt-down, cancelled the sequel to Fez, quit the gaming industry then decided to crawl back sometime later and got going again.

@chaos-06: When absolute garbage like H1Z1 is included in 'Top-10' games for months without a review then gets a 9... Personally, while I can't prove it, I think money bought that review.

But that inflation (paid for or not) makes this review score BS. Using H1Z1's 9 as a baseline, this game was at least a 25 compared to H1Z1. And it got an 8.

That's why. When there is a complete and demonstrated lack of integrity in the process, people get mad. Especially on an outstanding sequel such as this.

EDIT: It was a 9, not a 10. Same difference when the game is buggy, pay-to-win crap.

This is a BS grade. If they can give that dog H1Z1 a 9, after carrying it in the Top-10 PC games (while unranked) for months and months and months this game deserves at least a 15. Maybe even a 20. Though on a credible site, maybe an 8.

@Baconstrip78: Because SJWs. What's funnier is the user reviews. Beamdog begged people to give this game a good review. But in other places that don't censor and remove bad reviews, this game has been slaughtered.

@ggregd: Like you don't? The writer was a failure as a writer. The brutal fact is that she tried to make it as a game writer for a decade and failed because she sucked Then, for whatever stupid reason, Beamdog hired her. after she got her business degree!

I've read fan-fiction and third-rate English 280 (Creative Writing) stories better than this garbage.

@Prats1993: No, it was pathetic. I didn't even care about the issues with GG. It just sucked donkey ****s. Plus it's a complete joke. Full of bugs. Crashes. Unfortunately at 2.5 hours, Steam isn't going to give me money back.
