Translation: "Mass Effect" was never written to be a franchise. It was started and developed as a trilogy from the get-go. We pushed for the Mass Effect 3 ending to be changed at the last minute so we'd have room to keep going with the series. Since it was never meant to be a franchise, the writers wrote the franchise into a corner, since they'd always planned ME3 to be the end. Our only option was to jump centuries forward to a different galaxy altogether just so we could completely dilute the ending of ME3 and have somewhere to go with it. But we can't really say all this publicly, even though core fans already know it. So we're gonna just come up with come contrived excuses for the ME3 save files being completely useless.

That poster looks like a DeviantArt fan poster photoshopped together while the fan was one drink away from black-out drunk.

How fucking lazy are people that they can't enter in an eight digit code? Seriously, how inconvenient is it to take the phone you've probably been snapchatting, tweeting and instagraming on all day and read eight numbers off it and type them into your gaming system? It's EIGHT CHARACTERS. literally one bit of data. One byte of information.

Is life so difficult that one-click needs to be in everything possible? I thought dominoes one-click pizza ordering app was sad, but this is a new low for lazy.

@jack00: they explained it really simple. Superman felt outnumbered, so he used kryptonian tech to create little green pills that contain nanites that increase the tensile strength of both bones and muscles a thousand-fold for a short period of time. To put it in Marvel terms, Superman created the DC version of Captain America's super soldier formula, but in a controlled dose with temporary benefits, but unlike the Marvel universe, the formula wasn't lost and instead leaked out to everyone.

Please let the new protagonist be better than Aiden this time. He was a delusional A-hole that got hundreda of people killed because of his selfish revenge plan over an incident he set in motion with his reckless hacking activities. It was so difficult to like the game because of how little empathy Aiden drew as a charcter.

@daniel79: 1) For the group of people who don't own the original disc (which is larger than the group that have the disc) the price is the same as getting the old game disc.

2) Backwards compatibility requires shit tons of coding. The PS2 and the PS4 don't work the same. Making a PS2 game work on PS4 hardware would require designing a backend software that would let PS2 game handle multicore processors and multi-access RAM. The only reason Nintendo's are bc is because they just build an emulator, but they don't add any features. They just dump a copy of the previous gen OS on the emulator backend.

3) Sony is taking the old games and making them work with new features. They aren't just dumping in lazy bc. That takes a coding and a team. Which costs money.

If all you want is to play your old discs, there are cheap RCA to HDMI upscaling adapters on Amazon. Buy one for $20 and enjoy your PS2 games on your giant 1080p tv and stop whining that Sony is greedy for selling games on the PS4 when it's you that's being a cheap luddite about using your old disc on a console ten times more powerful than what your old game needs to run.

@stoney29z: Yeah Stupid Sony! Thinking they can charge $10-$15 for old PS2 games downloads. They should take a lesson from Gamestop and their "retro" and "classic" games program, where they sell NES, SNES, N64, PS1, Dreamcast and Genesis games for...

http://www.gamestop.com/collection/retro-classics

$10-$200 for pre-owned copies depending on the game.

Suddenly Sony's prices don't seem so stupid. They are almost downright reasonable considering all the improvements and additions.
