We recently moved and my comcast bill dropped from 180/mo to 112/mo with high speed internet, cable TV (HBO,Starz, Showtime and Video on Demand) + unlimited phone service for my land line. Still when paying in excess of 100/mo for cable services that's still a lot and I look forward to when I can combine all these for much less without the use of cable companies.

If you do custom build, just remember to go with Intel/Nvidia

Don't listen to the factually incorrect BS of "AMD = not much worse, way cheaper"

It is cheaper, but MUCH worse. Go with quality. The highest end ATI cards are really good but unstable

If people were gonna build discount AMD builds they might as well buy PS4/Xbox One, because thats what those two consoles basically are lol

This doesn't surprise me in the least. GS has been on the decline for the last 7-8 years with their constant down-sizing and restructuring. I've been a GS Complete member since 2001 and coming here those first few years was amazing. The editors running the show back then were fantastic. No need to list names, if you were around back then you know who they were and the content and reviews were the best on any site around.

The only reason I keep coming back here almost daily is due to the forums/unions and that has been getting less interesting..Could it be to fewer people coming to GS as in the past ? Seems like it to me.

Well like I said, this doesn't surprise me...The Unions are just about the only really solid thing  left here and pulling the plug will just about sound the death knell to this site.

GS back then was the king of the hill....Oh how the mighty have fallen....:(

I was using a Razor Plasma Diamondback since '06 (still works great) but lets face it, it has really worn out. So decided to look for a new mouse and saw this SteelSeries Sensei on sale. I've been using it since June and love it. If you can find one check it out, you won't be disappointed.

I know how you feel and at our age we  should (and I say should) know what our  priorities are. I'd say unless you have tons of cash to burn at will,  then fine...but I sense this isn't the case. If I did something like this my wife would throw my ass out in the street along with the over abundance of PC components that she already puts up with..... and I'm guessing yours wouldn't be none to happy either.

Cool your jets and enjoy that kick-ass system you have...that rig still has plenty of life left in it. Buy the little woman some flowers and a bottle of nice perfume and take her to dinner. I'm sure that will get you along much further when it finally comes down to crunch time and you absolutely, positively must feed the PC gaming rig god with brand new shinny hardware.....;)

Ok the Xonar D1 had an option for Dolby Headphones which sound great in games....does the Sound Blaster Z Sound Card have an option like this?

It's $119 at Best Buy but I have a few bucks in reward zone points that I can use as well.
