A Game is definattely a sucess when the developer apologizes to the gaming world for how bad it is and and is critically panned by everyone and their mother. That Capcom is saying the game is a sucess is them admitting that they dont care how good the game is, as long as they meake money.

I think Bioware should ignore the fans and stick to making games. They made a bad ending, they should live with it. They dont deserve a second crack and failing to have an ending worthy of the hype. If they want they can make a new game that would be even more epic, but thats on them. The fans shouldnt whine in a spoiled way, we as gamers have the right to not like something, we show our like and dislike via being vocal and what we do with our money. Pressuring a company to change an ending makes all of us look bad, while the bad ending only makes the devs look bad.

Or the alternative is we get full games like we expect the developers to give us rather than paying more for an incomplete experiance. There was an era when games spoke for themselves. Now we say "we cant judge it yet, because it needs to be patched, or the dlc is coming next week that will fix this, or add more, or fulfill what they promised us. DLC can be great for the industry, it can mean that the game never has to be finished and can be upgraded indefinately but the standard still should be that the game needs to stand on its own without it. I take it as a slap in the face when I find out that they plan the DLC before they even have finished making the game. As the developer, you are lucky and should feel honored that we purchase your DLC, but with the way games are coming out, it feels like you think we "owe" you DLC purchases.

but is it art when the same website publishes an article about how the series sells itself out as a franchise introducing plot elements that are exlcusive to other mediums? Is it really art or immitation?

Worth the 30 minutes. The more I learn to respect a developers vision as a developer, the more I find myself wanting to see their vision in their games. I look forward to the Devils Third

People say people dont read the article, but the article's title accidently implies that such elaments are involved.

the frantic nature of max payne was due to that cover wasnt always available and sometimes you had to run a gauntlet without any pain killers.jumping out of the corner is so much more intense than cover. Max payne led innovation, I dont think it should follow modern convention.

Thanks for the interesting read but I think in some of the these, and I know this is for fun, but the awarding points sometimes seem reaching. I wouldnt call him a patholgoical liar, he had an affair and covered it up, pathological liar is someone who says they bought a glazed donut when they bought a bagel. The City property stuff is more based on the gamers bad driving. Cole has long term goals when he joins the army, if you consider being set for life a good goal. He becomes a cop for the goal of becoming homicide detective. I dont think he is a psychopath, honestly I see him as a man who is trying to overcomponsate for his shortcomings and has dillusions of granduer. everything he does or asumes early in the game, is to make a name for himself. I dont think thats being a psychopath but he feels the need to accomplish something great, as if not doing so would be beneath him. However food for thought, he did accomplish something great in the military by being awarded with a silver star, but rather than being set for life like he wanted, I think the reason he became a cop and worked from the bottom up was him doing a do-over because he didnt feel that his achievement was deserved. He could have chosen other lines of works other than being a detective. I think his idea of greatness wasnt so much just recognition but self gratification of knowing he did something, ei catching criminals.

1. Sony should head the development of highly anticipated games that are purely exclusive, like Microsoft has Halo, Fable and all those, Sony should head their own experiments. 2. Stream shows and videos, with advertising space, this way sony makes money off of us getting free tv shows. Also show us stuff that either, isnt on tv these days or indipendantly perchased. 3. Lower the price of games. $60 is alot for a game, make te price equal to current gen games and people wont debate on wether or not to buy a ps2 game or a ps3 one. 4. Have a portal section where people can upload their own videos and flash. 5. Equip games with special features that can be accesed through the PS options.
