h god i hope its not to late to save you. Hear me well when I say xbox 360 was easily my biggest gaming financial mistake ever! I would not reccomend this console to anyone due to the immense amount of problems I've had. I am the most careful and responsible person I know out of my friends, and that pretty good, but the xbox is just such a peice of garbage. I've had a whopping 4 RRoD, disc unreadalbe problems, common freezing, broken discs from the console, and the list goes on. I've probably spent enough money on repairs alone for a brand new PS3, and then including the crappy controllers and really easy to break headsets, you could buy yourself a PS3 and maybe 4 games. Then you also would probably need the $100 wireless adapter, and on top of that you pay $50 a year for xbox live (don't say "oooh it's only $6 a month", because then your just a spoiled punk). Please, please, please, take my advice and get yourself a reliable PS3. They are higher quality consoles, and honestly, you just get everything xbox gets withmaybe a month delay on some addons. It's too late for me on account of how much I've already invested on my peice of sh** xbox, that as a matter of fact needs another repari because get this. It reads some discs, but can't read others. HOW THE HELL DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN?!?! But in the end, do whatever you want, I just hope you don't get screwed over like me.

I would go with Guild Wars. Honestly, contradicting what most others are saying here, GW doesn't need "easing in to". It was the first MMO I played aside from a couple browser based MMO's, and I had a hell of a good time. And yes I know, it is not exactly an "MMO" besides for the towns, because it transitions to more of a multiplayer based game once you go into a mission. But with all the friendly guilds, and players, I'd say that makes up for that. Especially if your a person who enjoys a company of a few players, instead of being by yourself from beginning to end, then Guild Wars is definitely for you.

I would definitely go for Guild Wars. For one, not saying this is the most important, but there are no fees except for buying the game itself. Second, there is still a quite a big community of friendly players, especially once you get into a guild. Three, the developers are still actively monitoring the game. Fourth, the game is great in that it is about skill, over hours of play, which is good, because you don't have to rush to be a high level, and it doesn't put you at a huge disadvantage for being new. Another reason is that there four separate stand alone campaigns that you can use the same character in all of them if you wish. Along with that, there is the Eye of the North expansion. And honestly, Guild Wars was a very highly praised game, and when you play, it is very easy to see why :) Have fun!
