The shooter was 20 years old...he wasn't a 6 year old that needed his ears covered when someone in the room cursed. Are you saying that when your kids are 20 years old you are still going to be filtering the content that gets thrown at them and be ready to still be held accountable for their actions? He obviously had a severe mental problem and the fact that he was still living with his mother showed she cared at least enough not to kick him to the curb on his 18th birthday mental illness or not. The arguement that parents are accountable for what a grown child has done is more baseless than blaming video games and movies.

@GSuser10

So does History that is taught in the schools. I think the schools start teaching us about war and past acts of senseless violence as early as....5th or 6th grade if not sooner?

I believe I heard the news coverage saying that the shooter's mother used to go into town several times a week to pick up dinner. I think Congress should also start an investigation into whether or not eating take-out somehow leads to kids carrying out acts of mass murder. Video games are seriously still being blamed? I along with hundreds of millions of other people play games and watch movies that contain violence....if we all went on shooting sprees there wouldn't be anyone left alive. What happened at the school was horrible but these kinds of things are going to happen throughout history. Playing the blame game isn't going to stop it from happening again. The shooter was obviously a mental case and the signs of that were out there but those closest to them never imagined this is where it would lead. People also want to blame the easy access to firearms as the cause...again I'm sure there are millions of gun owners out there with troubled kids that play violent video games. Do we round them all up now before they become a problem down the road?
