Sorry for the late response, today have been a really weird day. but it's nothing too big yet. I couldn't really think of a concept for a game at the time so I just made SNIPER the main character and have him run around a few maps to collect items he find too mainstream and destroys them. >.>timmy00
That is AMAZING
[QUOTE="DarthJohnova"]considering sony marketed Soul Sacrifice in japan as very clearly an alternative to Monster Hunter on the VITA... no, to compare them is not "facile" the game is meant to compete with monster hunter because sony lost the franchise to nintendo. unfortunatenly, all of the things that made monster hunter fans like monster hunter, are completely missing from Soul Sacrifice. therefore, they marketing will be completely ineffectual and MANY gamers will be turned off from the product when they buy it and find out it is nothing like what was marketed to them or what they expected.... just look at the sales numbers in japan when the game came out. the VITA saw a surge of popularity the week of SS's release, selling even more units than the 3DS. japanese gamers ran out and bout a VITA and soul sacrifice thinking it was going to be a different kind of monster hunter. then look at the sales the week AFTER SS's release..... back to normal for the VITA, or in other words abysmal. word got out that the game was not what people wanted or expected, and sales plummeted. the exact same thing is going to happen here in the USA and EU. the fact of the matter is, Monster Hunter is a widely popular and powerful franchise. it sells systems, and moves millions of units. If this is the best Sony can do to copy the monster hunter formula, then WOW.... they are in worse shape then i thought. To even compare them is facile.
Anyhow, both are excellent.

Whether they marketed it as an alternative or not, is irrelevant. As highlighted above, the franchises are not even remotely similar.
Some people being put off MIGHT be put off if it isn't like MH, but then they would be stupid for not watching videos/playing the demo e.t.c, and realising that it isn't anything like MH. Others may even be put off because it isn't anything like Madden 13, but then they would be stupid too.
I wish Nintendo would fix the pricing on the eShop since I would rather go digital but paying 70 dollars is ridiculous especially when Vita games on the PSN store aren't that expensive.spookykid143
Same, I have gone completely digital with my Vita (minus VT4, it was a £5 physical =3). I try to go digital with my handhelds, it makes sense as the days of carrying boxes round for a handheld console are numbered. I don't feel the same about my home console, love physical copies.
Having said that, Nintendo games hold their prices ridiculously well, so you usually get a great trade-in price later on.
[QUOTE="Brown9"][QUOTE="charizard1605"]Sometimes I wonder- this is a morbid idea- but if I were to die tomorrow, how would you all ever know I was dead? Would you just think I'd left Gamespot?
It's just something that comes to me sometimes.

Chaz, this is something that crosses my mind so often.
You losers mean enough to me that if I were to die, I'd feel terrible if none of you ever found out.
i'm glad to know i'm not the only one paranoid about that kind of stuff >.>Same, I pondered it a few weeks ago in fact.
