As hard as I try to play other games, my console is pretty much a Division 2 player these days
Pass for me, not into that weird stuff tbh.
A 1080ti as recommended isn’t exactly “not that high”
Halo games have an uncanny ability to make a new generation of xbox feel meh. Don’t get me wrong, they’re great games but they’re pretty much always graphically underwhelming and poor ambassadors for a new generation of hardware.
I think I'm getting old...
This game is easily the biggest, come from behind, surprise of 2019 for me. Soooo much fun. It just feels great to play and for that budget price it's a steal.
I obviously prefer Xbox One X’s power over the PS4 Pro for multiplatform titles but I hate the X’s sluggish OS/dash. Sony’s feel much more responsive and something about that typical Xbox signal with those crushed blacks ticks me off too. In a perfect world the Pro would have X’s power and accept the microsoft controller. I know that makes little sense but I’m just saying both brands/consoles have their own strengths
We're gonna need a bigger boat...
Having a lot of fun with the game actually. Bear in mind I play this strictly as a singleplayer experience and these days I’m not the devoted gamer I was years ago. Family life, a busy job etc..
These days games, for me, are meant to offer some escapism. Fallout 76 fills that role really well. The world is much larger that that of Fallout 4 and imo much, much better designed. It’s atmospheric and there’s a ton of random exploring to do. That’s how I approach the game. I love just roaming around coming up on all sorts of unexpected things. A couple of things I’d advise you to do are to turn off the games’ music in the audio menu. It adds an extra layer of tension to the game to just hear distant creature noises, or footsteps around you while exploring buildings. Another simple way to further improve immersion is to make finding a miner’s helmet a priority. Wearing a miner’s helmet replaces your pip-boy’s generous 360 degree illumination with a narrow flash light beam that greatly enhances the experience of finding your way around in a pitch black environment like a mine or abandonded mansion.
I honestly don’t feel the game deserves all the crap it’s getting. There’s a lot of room to create your own fun with what it has on offer.
A GOTY is a highly personal affair I guess. Mine is hands down AC Odyssey. In my opinion it’s open world is among the very best ever created in that it’s exceptionally large but still manages to feel coherent and alive. The gameplay is deep but never feels overwhelmingly so. For me RDR2 felt like a job, but again, that’s personal
