So nothing else about MK impresses you? Not the game play nor the characters or minigames or story? Which is quite understandable considering how it can be different than other fighting games in many areas.


I will say though for you to say anymore is like saying it had some redeeming qualities for you at one point. I would have to argue that in the past I only paid attention to fatalities when it came to MK and nothing else. Now I feel there is much more to it. Different strokes for different folk I suppose.

What do you mean by pay attention? Does that include purchasing and playing the game being out of the question because you saw the fatalities?

The only good thing that came of this game was this review and how it gave me the awareness of all these mockbusters I can watch and laugh at. :D

You can say the same for any community when they see something they enjoy is looked at in a unjustified sense in their eyes. You think any other community would stay calm and talk like sophisticated gentlemen when their game gets slammed down like this?


I guarantee you any community would act the way they would under these circumstances.


Core mechanics are there and I stated numerous times are easily learned by going through the tutorial in Things Betwixt.


Accessibility is debatable depending on the game. There are plenty of games with a high skill cap such as this, but that doesn't stop people from become skillful at it no matter how hard it may seem. Keep in mind that dying is a natural thing of this game is a method of learning and figuring out the right strategy to proceed. The game doesn't say how much of a loser you are or how you got a game over. It's all in the players head as how they perceive how they want to react to their death. Players who got far in this game took their deaths as learning experiences and got far while others simply took the disc out. Honestly, a large part of accessibility in this game is up to the player in how they perceive their experience with Dark Souls.


Story is a subject already debated in this comment section. Look somewhere and im sure a decent response turns up for you.
