@shadow580 @Daizun An opinion of how things should have been done is an opinion and is fair. However when an opinion is spoken in a manner that isn't even based on facts of the story and leads to claims of homophobia which are not present. Then it is in fact a "wrong" opinion.
As I pointed out before (and you chose to ignore)
"It should have been like this" ~This is an example of somewhat proper criticism / wishlisting.
vs
"It should have been like this and because it isn't Persona 4 sends the message that homosexuality is shameful and should not be accepted"
~This is not an example of proper criticism / wishlisting.
Because something does not cater to your preferences does not make it homosexual shaming"
@Myst17 @Daizun A work of this quality? I'm honestly not sure.
Logical leaps and homophobia being read into (where it is not actually) a video game are not something which people should probably consider a proper personal take on a game.
@Myst17@Daizun The blanket comments like "don't be discouraged by trolls" implies that these comments are rife with trolling. There are handful at best, and what IS being ignored (by the Author and many defending commentors) is the fact that this article is poorly written and ignores half of what occurs in the game in place of the Authors opinion. The Author should respond to those. However what they are choosing go ignore it seems is any opinion which calls out the issues in this article.
Calling something homophobic because it didn't go the way you wanted it to is quite wrong indeed. Making claims like that requires something to actually lend itself to that claim any shred of evidence even. The Author had nothing but an opinion to act as basis.
Sorry, but shoddy sensationalist journalism is shoddy sensationalist journalism.
We really should demand better from writers. And to be frank the permissive attitudes of many commentors is contributing to such poor articles since some small handful of people appear to want to defend just about anything.
@Iridescent406 The game is rather obvious with it's intentions and it's content. It is the Author who basically ignored that and said "this is how it should have been done"
@bawbawboy You didn't actually read any of the comments did you? You are apparently blanket defending the article for no apparent reason.
Let me help with that:
~The Author basically misses the entire story of two of the characters. The author then reads personal opinion into the development of the characters and considers their development Homophobic and Transphobic. Which they are not.
There you go. Maybe try reading the comments in the future before considering a mediocre article "inspirational journalism"
Because is not even quality journalism let alone inspirational
@Lord_Python1049 @MooncalfReviews @Daizun It's probably the fact that the author kind of missed the point of the actual given story and used it for their own personal issues.
Yeah it's not like people haven't mentioned that 50x times in the comments.
