I could probably find my gamespot comment that I made on the AC3 review and post it on here and it would still apply perfectly.

The same old problems with AC again and again.

Its way tooooo "open" world. And nothing is coherent - neither the story nor the side missions. It should all fit together. There should be a bloody reward system. You could be given contracts by someone (like in AC1) and he gives you the option to choose to follow through your mission "stealthily" or with "ranged weapons" or "outright loudly". Based on the option you choose, you get rewarded with different types of weapons (more stealthy weapons, better ranged weapons, better "loud" weapons respectively). Plus cash. The cash you get should be WORTH something. Whats the point being able to buy a "better" weapon when you can complete the whole game with the first weapon. This is just one creative idea. Stop making everything bigger. Make a smaller game but redefine the whole gameplay mechanic and I guarantee it will have a better reception than the same old formula.

Adding in the "grappling hook" is not a new feature. Thats something that should be in the game anyway. The word NEW means changing sh** up. And frankly every criticism relating to AC that is not about the glitches, is about the repetitive nature of the game.

@ahmad996 @CoolCamel616 lol have you played all the Assassins creeds? No offence at all, its great you still are OK with their formula but im still surprised lol....dont you find the typical formula slightly repetitive?

I used to be in love with the series but not anymore sadly. My biggest frustration was the potential this series had, but instead they went for yearly releases and imho - quick cash...

@DouglassIndust yea: tail the messenger, now find out where the main templar meeting is, now identify and kill his bodyguards/second man, now kill main templar, now control the region. repeat again and again and again forever

oh and everytime they release a game they add "new" features: here you go we're chucking a crossbow in, now we'll throw in 100 different bombs, now we'll throw in naval combat, now we'll throw in another sword, now we'll throw in a grappling hook. look how much new content we're giving you. everything is new........urm, except the whole premise of the game by the way: tail the messenger, now find out where (reread my first paragraph)

@queryvillain you dont know anything past AC3 because most of us stop playing it because it got so repetitive. the watch dogs reviews on here seem to be pointing to the same problem. Repetition of missions, nothing new
