The sad fact of reality; every single one of them keeps doing it, and there's always a major backlash, and in 99% of cases nothing ever gets reverted. Been suffering this with Windows itself from XP onwards, nevermind the countless programs and websites I've used over the decades.
We need more reverse engineers in the world; more people able to create custom clients of programs/skins of websites. Being force fed something and told you have no options is a terrible way to live.
@faithxvoid: SpecialK has its own built-in customized reshade, but it's a bit out of date. Can still run both standalone regardless, whether named differently (eg. d3d11 and dxgi) or loaded as a plugin via SpecialK.
Either way, SpecialK is just a fairly feature rich tool for enhancing the rendering path of games, has nothing to do with ReShade at all.
With how many games over the years just don't have Flip Model support natively, SpecialK is a godsend to using GSync in pretty much everything. And hey, it has even more features too.. like enabling NVIDIA Reflex in every title. Nevermind the customized builds over the years for certain games (Nier Automata (FAR), Monster Hunter World, Dark Souls 3 (Souls Unsqueezed), etc..) drastically fixing all of them up.
