@mike468: No Man's Sky comes out June 21st... I'm just waiting for that. I need some space adventure far away from this pvp trollin' crap.

@nibbin1191: I hear ya. The first couple weeks were a pleasure. Met some new Gamin Buddies, started rollin in a group. Then after about 2 or 3 weeks the repetition of the "Daily Missions" was killing me (and the Incursions look even worse). Then we all realized the only real "end game" was just people trolling each other in the Dark Zone. And it's the fact that it is often true "trolling" and not limited fire-fights, ambushes, or really any kind of actual tactics. Unfortunately by then, a number of us had picked up the Season Pass. Funny thing is, NONE of us even made it to the First Major Update...we all lost interest and were very disappointed. First, Only, and LAST time I will ever agree to a SeasonPass. I do have deep consumer's regret from this game.

It's a shame that it won't look or play anything like the trailer suggests.

@livedreamplay: said: "The Season Pass OWNERS don't have to buy a Season Pass because they already OWN it. That's why they are called OWNERS."

And you do not gain access to these items unless you Own the Season Pass.

How do they own the season pass?

It was paid for with money, was it not?

Therefore the items are not technically free, they are included in a package deal that a consumer MUST pay for to gain access.

In case it needs to be stated a different way:

If you did not pay for the Season Pass, would you have access to said items? The answer is: NO. And so the Items are in fact not free.

I really don't actually care about this that much. It's just an interesting misunderstanding of marketing by the consumers. As well as an interesting aspect of semantics and consumer/marketing logic.

@livedreamplay: They are NOT free for Season Pass owners. An Individual MUST BUY the Season Pass to gain access to them. Ubisoft made clear that part of buying the Season Pass was access to addition exclusive items included in the Season Pass Package. You Paid for the Items. That is not free. They are intended to be included in a package that is purchased.

I am not trying to be rude here to anyone specifically, but I am starting to wonder if this is one of those moments in a forum where it's adult-gamers inadvertently arguing with kids. I mean either way people get their DLC, no biggy. But it is NOT FREE. It is included in a purchased package. The Companies use of the term "free" in this context is part of marketing. People respond to the word "free", just like they respond to large Yellow or Red Colored letters, flashing lights, sex appeal, or things like "Buy 2, Get 1 Free". There's a whole area of study on human psychology being affected by advertising, purchasing, gambling, and general visual and/or audio triggers that appeal to customers and human behavior in general.

Just because a company sells you something and says it's "free" doesn't mean it's free.

@ltjohnnyrico: Because you already paid for it when you bought the season pass. If something is listed as part of a package for a purchase and you have to pay money to gain access to said items, that is not free. You paid for it.

(Insert snarky voice here.) Yeah brightly colored gun "Skins".

After a couple weeks of solid play when it first came out I haven't picked it up since. And every update with all it's new balance, drop rate, and general issues each time has not drawn me back at all. I put it down and never really looked back. Too bad to, the original concept seemed so neat. But it's one of the most hardcore-repetitive, loot-stat chasing, mission-rinse-n-repeat game I have ever played.

I think I was doin one of the "Daily" Missions about the 30th or 40th time that I realized.... "I don't want to do this. This is dumb. It'll be the same freaking missions layout and spawn points tomorrow, or the next day, or just another one of the 8 or so Story Missions that get repeated as "Daily" Missions with a slightly harder setting. Over and over and over and over.....etc."

@livedreamplay: Yeah myself and my group of gamer friends made it about 2 weeks. Then... meh. And funny thing is, none of us have picked it up since. And some of those friends bought the Season Pass... and they still haven't picked it back up.

" Jorgensen said EA plans to release one new Star Wars game every year for the next three to four years. "

And here we go... EXACTLY what we were all expecting. No IA, Terrible Unlock Grinding to keep you playing, Maps all sold as DLC, and now confirmation that we'll get a revamp every year. And I am sure we'll have that great option to buy each game out right at 120$... YEAH SW totally got EA'ed.

You know I was just hoping for another StarWars game that a major company could piecemeal a few maps out to at a time at an exorbitant price so I could end up paying 120$ for it! Great! (Because those 2 weeks I enjoyed and played Battlefront really made me want to buy all the DLC that I would never care to play.)
