This usually does the trick. Anything from this band usually does the trick, tbh.

Being a father of 3 & 4 yr. old daughters that I dropped off at kindergarten and Head Start this morning....many, many silent tears have dropped from my eyes at work today, and will for many days to come. I just cannot fathom this. Those poor kids, with the holidays, and their entire lives ahead of them...I just hope it was quick, painless, and the fear their little hearts felt didn't last too long. And the families & parents...words cannot describe. I just cannot imagine it. Going home, knowing you're never going to hug, kiss, hold, talk to and experience your little one again, because of something so black and senseless. Tonight, when I get home from work and my little girls greet me at the door with big hugs, I'm not sure I'll ever be able to let them go.

My pick, loved it since I was a child, the 4th Movement (Adagietto) from Mahler's Symphony No. 5

At last count when I was adding to my film collection spreadsheet (before Christmas) I was over 650 Blu-Rays. And I own every Criterion release on Blu-Ray...pre-order soon as they're announced, & Amazon ships the day they're released. Very eagerly awaiting La Haine in May.

Growing up in the woods, the late night rustling of leaves and strange cries would send the shivers racing down the spine....cause I never quite knew what was out there making those sounds. My brother always said it was Bigfoot...which didn't help.

Oh, and that damn thing in the crate on "Creepshow". :(

Taking my wife & daughters to my dad's house. Meeting my brother & his wife over there. Watching the kids open their presents, grilling steaks, and just enjoying the day.

Strange - I posted a blog a while back with the exact title. Anyway, it is this egg that my dad made that he gave me the last time I saw him alive. (He died in an accident - it's not like we knew that would be the last time we saw each other). Full story in the blog if you care.

That's powerful. Thanks for sharing that.

Not really...I don't like the thickness / texture. I do, however, love egg nog flavored coffee.

Yeah, it actually kinda was. She was my girlfriend for three years, and we had a mad "encounter" in my father's office. It lasted all of a few minutes(that's being generous), but it's a powerful memory.
