I am fairly early in the game, the last mission I did was the mission to tow a car on tow truck and few paparazi missions. At this point the map only shows "S" (initial dealerships NPC) and nothing else.

How do I procede with the main story line?

Digital sales are good and all, but Sony needs to let people know Vita is still alive and kicking.

I resufse to pay nearly x4 of what it should cost for the memory card, that's simple nicke and diming. 16GB card is $10, not $40.

Got Vita last year with 4 games. It's a very good system and I enjoyed it for a while. Once I ran out of games to play (not into PSP and Mini) I shelved the system.

Yesterday I charged the Vita, updated it and went to Best Buy to buy Killzone. After around 5 minutes of looking around gaming section for Vita games I had no choice but to ask the sales associate where the Vita section was to which I got "It's right there in corner, but you won't find much there". He was right, there were around 7 games (none of the new releases).

Luckily for me there was Toys R Us right next door. Same story, after around 5 minutes of looking through gaming section of store I had no choice but to ask for Vita section to which I got similar reply "It's in that corner under the TV". Yet again store stocked around 8 outdated titles, to their credit Killzone was soldout, as opposed to not being stocked at all.

Since I wanted to check out Killzone I ended up heading to local Gamestop across the town.

At this point Vita has several solid titles (personally I want to pick up at least 2-4 more games), but no one knows about it, because no one stocks Vita games at all.

Sony should get off their asses, get better placement in stores and force them to stock majority of the titles (not just 8 outdated games).

It's just the nature of the modern video/PC game industry. It took me a long time to "accept" the concept of having to pay $50 on top of $60 for EVERY freaking game if you want to see the additional content.

My way of delaing with it - I beat the game and forget about it. I beat Borderlands 2 and could care less for 4 upcoming "expansions".

Paying $10 (of whatver the price of DLC these days) for 10 cars is ludicrous. Why would I want additional cars for the game I beat already and moved on?

Constant nagging in loading screens about DLC is annoying though.

I don't think it's anything like NFS or Dirt. I myself can't stand even looking at those games.

If anything, this game is like Gotham Racing set in open world with some customization options. I loved Gotham Racing 2, did not care much for the follow up series. The blend of aracade and simulation in Gotham series was just perfect. You could pull off crazy drifts, but it still required certain level of skills and understanding of car physics. The game was fun and challeging at the same time.

Horizon is the first xbox game I picked up on release day in over 2 years. I find the car physics to be a bit too "arcady" even on simulation setting, but it's still very fun. Open world setting is very fun and diverse, addition of off-road parts is interresting too.

I found myself driving for 4+ hours yesterday just looking at the world and discovering the hidden nooks. Open road is what attracted me, having driven on Alpine European passes and Authobahn I can feel certain nostalgia and connection.

Developer never intended to market this game as sequel to Forza 4, but they did slap Forza logo to let people like me know that it's worth looking at, since it can easily be confused with games like Dirt and NFS if you don't know the developer team bedhing the game.

Pretty much every laptop clogs down with dust after 1 year, some good laptops can last 2 years. After that cooling efficiency goes down exponentially. It's not a good idea to spray air, as it will just scatter lots and lots of dust inside the case. Good idea is to take it apart, remove heatsink from CPU and clean it nicely inside and out. Apply new thermal paste and enjoy laptop for a few more years. Most of the laptops downclock CPU when temps are going up and you loose a lot of performance. So that cooling pad might be helping it, but I bet it's not running at 100%. I took apart half a dozen laptops over the years, amazing that after so many years there's no solution to dust problem.

Left 4 Dead. I would not say it has those "BAM" moments, but you feel pretty scared when you're overrun by 100s of zombies cuddled in corner of some small boat house in the middle of woods with last clip of ammo and no health packs.

I think original L4D really got that "you're alone and no one is coming to save you" vibe. Not sure how the community is in the original game now.

Never liked the 2nd game though.

Not sure if you have Mircocenter store around you, but they have i5-2500K for $179. They also run a deal this month where you can buy Z68 or P67 Mobo (cheapest P67 they have is $124 I believe) with i5-2500K and get additional $50 off. So total should be around $179+$124-$50=$253.

I got a slighly better deal on similar combo during Black Friday.

Antec 300 might be loud, if you're concerned with that maybe get Sonata or something with more noise insulation.

I am on my second set of ProMedia 2.1 (wired), first set had an unfortunate accident. Been using these for 4 years.

The best way to experience them is to check them out on display in store. The sound is very crisp and clear, the sub is a bit washed down, but still much better than competition has to offer with their overly "bassy" offerings.

I am a fan of crispy/precise sound and these surely fit the bill. I don't have dedicated sound card, never had one.

In short, I think ProMedia 2.1 offers the best solution if you don't need full blown 5.1 system. There's a reason these stayed pretty much unchanged since introduction way back around 2000 I think.

I was putting PC together recently for a brother. Ended up getting Intel SSD, with huge rebate it's pretty reasonable option for a system drive. He'll get data drives when prices fall, but I don't expect them to fall for at least another 3-6 months.
