@Vodoo: I don’t think Microsoft cares about the hardware business as much as Sony & Nintendo does, they’re more focused on software/service business these days. Hardware sales are not their overall profit or something, it’s how many people use their services (I.e game pass, Xbox live service) , that’s where they are successful right now and it looks like they’re pushing further this year.
Only a few manufacturers put up with OEM drivers (Most notably older Toshiba laptops). These day, almost all gaming laptops with Nvidia can use the official drivers from nvidia's site or update through Nvidia Geforce Experience, the same goes for AMD GPUs. They perform almost like desktops. Only downside is you cant upgrade the laptops gpu or cpu, which is why they introduced External GPU adapters that connects with most laptops that has thunderbolt 3 ports.
I understand if a game is owned by Epic to be released only on their store, but to make a deal with a third party developer/publisher to release their games exclusively on their store? That's a big F U to PC gamers.
@Pupchu: We have Microsoft & Sony for that. Let Nintendo do their own thing, not make another "black box" that does the same thing as the other 2 consoles.
