That's intended -- ther'es no way to fit all of it on the same screen. We want to find a better way to fit the modules (such as Ask a Question), but getting the bigger window was the priority for E3.

If you want to ask a question, you can email onthespot@gamespot.com with the question

[QUOTE="FusionApex"]It says there is a reply, but I can't see it, fromCraigB.FusionApex

Now visible, the player launches, but sits at ready, it still says you are currently watching, but nothing comes, audio, nor video.

Mac or PC? Browser?

We found a bug that was introduced a couple hours ago that prevents some users from watching the press conferences. Should be fixed in a bit. Sorry!

I'd just like to add that I can stream the press conferences with the 700k stream just fine now when the load on YOUR site is less, but it DIDN'T work live.. so I had to watch the press conferences live at 1up.com instead. A free site doing better than gamespot with a paid subscription. So again, it's not my fault. It's YOUR fault. It's not my computer or my connection. You caused the streams to perform badly because you're trying to give it away for free - which causes paying customers like myself to suffer. And clearly I'm not alone. You should give every paying customer a refund.A_Lee_N

I never implied that it's your fault. If I had to guess, the connection between you and the closest live streaming server may be slow. To claim that having these streams open cause slowdown is erroneous though -- traffic was monitored closely and capacity was never stretched to the limit. You sound determined to leave, so I wil close this thread. But if you're interested in further troubleshooting, send me a PM. I have Akamai contacts here that can help figure out why.

We're going to find a way to get this into the larger style live video player, but it won't be in time for the end of E3. If you want to submit a question, go ahead and send an email to onthespot@gamespot.com with your question -- all questions in that box go to that email address anyway.

If you are on a Mac and are having problems with Flip4mac during our live show, try these steps from fellow user 3ndymion.

1. Turn off your web browser. (Important step.)

2. As goes without saying, install Flip4Mac if you don't have it already.

3. With Flip4Mac installed go to its control panel by clicking the lightswitch in your Dock to bring up System Preferences.

4. Go to the Browser button in Flip4Mac Preferences, and uncheck the fourth, last box which says "Launch Quicktime Player." Make sure the first three boxes are check on.

5. Go to the Player button and check on all of the options here, especially the option to "Create streaming movies."

6. Turn off System Preferences by closing this window.

7. Open the web browser of your choice and load the page. It will work if you follow these steps and in that order. I guarantee it.

Also, try this: http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=25766846

Thanks 3ndymion!

It's not that I can't see the press conferences, I get image and sound, it's just that it buffers for a minute every 2 seconds of video I get. And after a while of doing like that the stream just dies. I think it's obvious that it's a bandwidth issue on your side, not a problem with my computer. Especially since I can stream on gamespot otherwise, and also on other sites. The press conferences are over and I haven't been able to see a single one of them.. I just want my money back.A_Lee_N

Which bitrate were you using? Did you try a lower one to see if you still experienced the same issue?

What browser, OS, and windows media player version are you using?
