@randomfakename What does the concept of episodic content have to do with the level of player agency Telltale employed? Which, by the way, I agree with them on. Having complete player agency would detract from the reality of the game. Everyone's the hero of their own story, so unfortunately, that means there are going to be times when things are out of your control. C'mon, do you really think the group was going to live happily ever after at the end of the game? How many times in your life were you able to make explicable binary choices with different outcomes?
@Saketume I think episodic releases (for tv shows and video games) are important, depending on the story. With The Walking dead, each episode stews in your mind and you mull over and speculate it, sometimes talking to friends about it. It's the anticipation of progress that's half the fun of the game; I guarantee your decisions will feel more weighted if you invested more time in thinking about them.

@billnye69 It's a fact that The Walking Dead wouldn't have been as great if it was released all at once. The game evolved due to fan feedback and was made all the better for it.
@Threesixtyci Much like with television, the anticipation and tension builds up between episodes, and essentially forces you to mull and speculate over each episode before diving into a new one.
