I've completely beaten the game both normal and hard mode on multiple worlds. I have almost every item but am still learning, specifically on how to use pumps to create infinite water chains, etc. I could always use a hand building my showcase world and acquiring a few novelty items such as the pet-summoning trinkets.

I am on everyday from 5:30pm - 11:30pm CST

My PSN is Trendy_Kid

You can get a fearsome maw low rank for breaking the face. It's not a shiny drop but can appear in the rewards once you finish the mission. It's a super low drop chance though, I would recommend running in the guild hall for better results.

Note: You can break his face with both impact and cutting weapons. I did it with DS.

This.

[QUOTE="Legolas_Katarn"]

It had a great story, battle system, music, gameplay, characters, etc. I never played FF7 but it likely hasn't aged anywhere near as well and FFX only had a great battle system and music.

CaptainGamespot

thats tragic as game was great. also, you shouldnt comment in threads about ff7 if you never played it.

This.

As I posted on the page of the official review: Carolyn consistently reviews games with poor scores despite their often contradicting meta and user scores. GameSpot needs to either re-adjust her game scores or ask her to stop reviewing games. It really hurts the developer when their games receive bad reviews on this site, especially smaller companies and sleeper titles. This is getting a bit ridiculous. I'm tired of seeing Editor's Choice games belonging almost exclusively to Kevin VanOrd.

I don't even want to play this game, I'm just disgusted with the fact that Carolyn's last two game reviews were way out of the ball park.

I am currently playing PSO2...it's rather easy to get into the beta...you just have to complete a captcha in japanese, which can be tricky.

Combat is unlike both PSO and PSU in the fact that you use "Mouse 1 & Mouse 2" for attacking rather than the direction keys. The game plays like a third or first person shooter and you can actually change your in-game view to reflect this. Photon Arts are "chained" into combos. For example, you can set the greatsword PA whirlwind to combo slot 1 which means you can either use whirlwind by pressing mouse 2 at any time or by using basic attack (mouse 1) and then "chaining" in whirlwind immediately afterward. You can have up to 3 PAs slotted like this but a PA in slot 2 or 3 can't always be used on demand, depending on the weapon you may have to combo into them. The gunblade changes forms so you must combo into PAs aside from slot 1. This is only for melee weapons, btw. Guns and Staves follow a different set of rules.

Each class has their own form of a dodge-roll, you can guard with certain weapons, and rangers don't consume PP with standard shots. You can also attack in the air and hit airborne opponents while grounded.

There are dark caverns (supposedly) in this one. The cats utilize the same masks from tri, therefore the lamp mask will be included in this game as well, hinting at the fact that there will be dimly lit caverns.

I was unhappy with how loose the combat mechanics were in the demo, hopefully things are tighter in the actual release.

That aside, I was happy to see how this 2.5D action game maintained the platforming awesomeness from the older castlevania titles. :)
