You sure? It's not like you can just run around and shoot wildly, you have to careful to cover yourself. Especially in Horde and Online modes. Plus with the range of weapons it does provide you with lots of options on how to kill your opponent; so you would change your overall tactics to kill them in that way.
It really isnt tactical.. if cover and weapons tactics are all thats required to make a game tactical then you might as well say that wolfenstien 3D was a tactical shooter. You need to be able to plan your attack.. be able to hold certain areas while you clear other.. to have retreat points and entry rules.. gears makes all those decisions for you. Occasionally you are asked which route to take.. but you really arent given much reason as to why one is better than the other.Have you tried online? With a team?
