In the latest issue of PC gamer, there was an article about game addiction. There was a little test thing in it and I thought I'd share it with you lot. Here it is:

A. How many hours a week do you spend gaming?

1. 0-5 2. 6-10 3. 11-18 4. 19-25 5. 26+

B. How often do you play games for longer than you intend to?

1. Rarely 2. Occasionally 3. Quite often 4. Far too often 5. Always

C How often are you late for school/work due to gaming?

1. Rarely 2. Occasionally 3. Quite often 4. Far too often 5. Always

D. How often are you late for social engagements duw to gaming?

1. Rarely 2. Occasionally 3. Quite often 4. Far too often 5. Always

E. How often do you think about games when your not playing them?

1. Rarely 2. Occasionally 3. Quite often 4. Far too often 5. Always

F. How often do you try and cut down the amount of time you spend playing games?

1. Rarely 2. Occasionally 3. Quite often 4. Far too often 5. Always

G. How often do you feel irritable or depressed when not gaming?

1. Rarely 2. Occasionally 3. Quite often 4. Far too often 5. Always

Add up your points and see what you've gotten.

7-10 You're not a gamer are you? Taking the test just to feel smug? It's safe to say you don't have anything to worry about.

11-16 You're good. All indications pint towards you being a healthy gamer able to enjoy gaming without harm.

17-25 There's no cause for alarm, but have a think about your answers, and whether gaming might be controlling your life.

26-35 Perhaps you have a bit of a problem. It might be time to ask for some help...

How did you do on the test?

I got 15.

Agent_13

A. 5

B. 3

C. 1

D. 3

E. 4

F. 1

G. 2

Total: 19

The problem with this test is the questions aren't that well thought out. Like question F, it seems to work backwards than the survey intends. Also question G is kinda a dumb one as well. Games cheer me up and relieves me of any problems. Normal life is stressful and games are an entertainment media, like what movies are for or theme parks do.

All in all these tests aren't any indication if you are addicted or not. I consider myself an enthusiest and will probably be dedicating my life around games after I've established myself down the line a bit more. :)

All you need is a gerbel, a wheel, a little generator and a couple wires. :)

It does sound good...but when you think about EA developing it, it really makes you doubt this game. I've had high hopes for EA games in the past and they always let me down. So don't get your hopes up. :wink:cecx

Haven't you seen the trailers? They are as funny as hell. :P

HAHAHA, What a joke thread!

Do you need a hug, dinkabusdog? I feel so bad for you because you aren't sure if you are going to be camping out or not. :( Society is truely at a time of need and that post proves it.

Yes that appened to me. Apparently theres multiple fixes that don't work for everyone.

Basicly I just thing theres a server overload and it's hard to get in.

Anyways you can try doing a maintnance on your harddrive. Go to the system tab then memory select your hard drive, then press   x,x,rb,lb,x,x   and that should fix the problem. What it does is remove all your game updates (not the content you downloaded) for every game you have played. Then you can update crackdown and the halo beta again.

If that doesn't work, try joining a buddies game. To do this open up crackdown to the main title screen and try to join a friends game. It will then ask you to insert the Halo3 Beta disk. You then cancel it, open up the beta as normal and it will try to join you into your buddies game. If it doesn't pop you into his\her game you should still be able to get into matchmaking. :)

Hope either of those work for you.
