Well, what about cards with good modding potential? And its true
Right now, there's an XFX 6800 AGP that is about $170 shipped on Newegg.com, and seems many users that I talk to with this card report a very high success rate of being able to unlock its pipelines, allowing for performance similar to a 6800GT.

I reccomend teh x850 XT PE from tiger direct, and yes its worth $350thnx man...
ok so to sum up:
-do u recommend the 6800gt for a max of 350/360$ of budget?
-and if yes, do u recommend ne aic(and i dt know wht does it stand for but i saw it on nvidia site), or more precisely do u have ne aic that u dt think that they're worth the money i'm gonna spend?

I went for a 6600GT over the 6800GT...Here in France, I bought the 6600 GT for 230 euros...The 6800 was 400!!!The_Icongood choice.
I am thinking of getting an ATI Radeon X800 XL 256MB card for my OLD comp...A p4 will only hold an x800 xl back.
Intel Pentium 4 - 2.0 GHz
512MB DDR (2x Kingston 256MB 184-Pin PC333 DDR)
80GB 7200RPM Samsung SP8004H
BenQ Dual DW1610 16x DVD +/- R, RW
Samsung CD R, RW 32x 10x 40x
ATI Radeon 7000 Series AGP (0x5159) 350MHz 64MB
Since I have a REALLY low budget, I have never upgraded my computer, and therefore do not know if my comp can handle an x800 xl
anone have any ideas of how I can check to see if my comp will accept such a card???
Also, would I be able to run BF2 at a resonable framerate (+50) after upgrading the card???
