There's really no noticeable difference between high and very high quality settings for anything except shadows, which high quality looks prettier anyways. There appears to be a coloring effect used in very high quality, but other than those two there's no difference at all, and that's pretty much nothing. There's a big fps booster right there.
One of the main reasons I didn't enjoy Halo 2 as much is because the crosshairs weren't in the middle of the screen. Looks like that's back in Halo 3. Dang.
Yay, more shooters set in world war II and the war on terror. As if there weren't a thousand of them already. We're getting a little repetitive here guys, we need some originality fast.
The new E3 got more information out there faster. Maybe this year's E3 wasn't the best, but you can't expect the best E3 ever every year. You'll only be disappointed.
