no bullet drop seems like a terrible idea, as does dual wielding pistols..

I built my less than impressive rig for a thousand bucks and I get 35-45 frames per second with everything on high. Sure, there's some 20 frames per second moments, but for the most part I've not had these issues. For a game of this scope, especially considering it's not running on a garbage engine, optimization really has to be SoE's priority.

When i started up this game I was worried that the gunplay would be rigid and enemies would take forever to eliminate. I was really surprised with the gunplay and in small to medium engagements I am consistently pleased with the amount of damage it takes to drop someone. I would suggest not sniping if sniping continuously frustrates you? Certainly you can agree that forcing yourself to play an aspect of the game that you don't enjoy is simply setting yourself up for failure. I hate sniping, so I run with a LMG, a rocket launcher, and grenades, I'm having a blast. When those empire barriers (don't know their exact name) finally drop on a building and you run in with 30+ guys and massacre what remains of the enemy's forces, it's exciting. each individual encounter is not going to be downright impressive, but this game is great for the sum of its parts and its scope. And this is coming from someone who hates the free to play model. Really a shame because I wanted to like DUST541, but with planetside2 I'm done with DUST.

the actual ability to invite a friend, as in being organic to the game itself is not available in the demo. I understand your frustration as the same thing happened to me. But, considering the menu option of inviting a friend is 'there' but not available, and as such you have to use the console to join the same game leads me to believe that in retail you will be able to party up and remain on the same team. Of course this is just speculation but it would be pretty dumb to prevent friends from fighting together on a multiplayer game.

After playing the demo I feel that the visuals are horribly dated, which is weird because the last time i played WFC i thought the visuals were good. So, how can i play the sequel and feel that it looks worse than its predecessor? Weird.

I feel that if curatives came with an animation, and some status debilitations were only curable by resting at a camp fire this game would be slightly harder. But i think I just pulled those concepts from dark souls

I was worried about the same thing that you're talking about and to a certain degree I do think you're right in theory. 50 levels as a fighter who then switches to sorc for 10 levels will probably be "weaker" than someone who did straight sorc for 60 levels. I've only played as fighter, warrior, and ranger so i wouldn't know the answer to your question specifically. I doubt that there's too much loss (attribute wise) when changing to a magic vocation after playing melee for a couple dozen levels. But I could be wrong.
